Teeth Whitening Glossary

Used to describe any number of teeth whitening or bleaching procedures performed by the consumer, at home, either with or without dental supervision. Most frequently used in conjunction with dentist-prescribed whitening kits featuring custom-molded mouth trays. The American Dental Association also regards the use of whitening toothpastes as "at-home whitening."
