Whitening trays are usually sold as part of at-home whitening kits and are available either through a dentist or OTC. Whitening Trays typically consist of either custom-molded mouth trays (best fit), boil-and-bite mouth trays (good fit) or one-size fits all trays (cost-effective), plus individual doses of peroxide in syringe form. You inject the peroxide into the mouth trays and wear them over your teeth for a certain amount of time each day (or sometimes overnight), usually for up to two weeks. The results are striking, yet gradual, permitting you or your dentist to monitor progress, specify shade whiteness and minimize sensitivity. An exceptionally popular method, frequently recommended by dentists because of better results and control of side effects.
