I'm on my second day and experiencing this weird two-tone effect on my teeth.
On my top row the two front teeth are the main focus of this problem.
The top half of the two front teeth are white and fine.
The bottom half of those two teeth are yellow.
I feel like this product is wearing away at my teeth, which is really awful.
I also get these random white spots.
Should this be happening.
This is worrying me.

I used these trays for the first time today. I have never tried anything else to whiten. Before I used them I was reading these messages and decided to try them even tho I was a little apprehensive. I took the advice of several of you and put the trays in one after the other instead of at the same time. I did the bottom first. I had absoutely no problems fitting it in or keeping it in or with the bleach coming out or with excessive saliva. I DO have pretty small teeth and the bottom tray is very small, but it covered everything for me. Anyone with larger teeth should rethink these trays. I experienced no pain either during or after either tray. I have no white marks on my gums and my teeth seem a LITTLE different. I will go ahead and use these for the next 4 or 5 days and see what happens. Also, when the top was finished, I flipped the tray and put it on the bottom for 5 or 6 more minutes and that also worked fine.

I have crowded teeth, so I decided to try the trays rather than the strips, since I figured that way all of the front teeth would get whitened. I am only on day 2, but have had no problems. I generally have sensitive teeth, but I followed the instructions to NOT brush before treatment. I also did not brush immediately after removing the trays--I just rinsed my mouth really well with water. I have small teeth, and the top tray fit fairly well, while the bottom was not quite long enough to cover the teeth other than the front few. There was a lot of saliva production, but that just took getting used to/around. I would not recommend trying to talk while the tray is in, but it can be done. I left them in for about 35 minutes and experienced no burning or adverse reactions to the bleach. There was a big lump of gel that was stuck on the back of my top teeth when I removed the tray. That was easily removed. I am looking forward to trying them out the rest of the treatment, although i may stop once i see enough of a whitening. The suggestion by another person to try one tray at a time might be a great idea--I'm going to try it.

I used them today. The pain in my teeth (not gums, teeth) as increased in the hours since which is what prompted me to look here. The pain doesn't go away even with Aleve, and I am worried. If it lasts, I am suing!

I didn't like the trays. They don't stay on the teeth. The gel gets to the gums and irritates them. My gums were white and sensitive after the application. The gums went back to normal only after few hours.

After all these reviews im scared to even consider the trays.....

This is an amazing product, but it does get expensive quickly.

The trays, especially the bottom, do not adhere to your teeth and the gells leaks in clumps from the back. There is no way to control where the gel goes as it is already in the trays.

My teeth are super white after only two applications. BUT, my gums burned and turned white around one of my teeth!!! It scared the crap outta me! Never ever again will I use these things. The whiteness went away within 5 minutes, but I think I got lucky. Yikes!!!

I must say I was skeptical at first. But, decided to give Aquafresh trays a try. The first day, I left the trays in for about 20 minutes because I was nervous (have never used any tooth whiteners before) I noticed a difference on the first day! I experienced a little sensivity the first day, but it went away within a few hours. I am now on day 6 and very pleased with the results. I liked it so well I had my husband try it (he's a smoker) and he noticed an improvement on the first day also! I plan to use this every 6 months as suggested on the box. Finally, I can have a bright smile at an affordable price.

Not pleased with these! They don't stay on well - seems like to much gel comes out - yes excessive saliva - you need to have a napkin ready while these are in your mouth
4th day - barely notice any difference

This is my first day wearing the trays and I am pretty satisfied. I noticed whitening already! I think this product would be suitable for people with a little bit of yellow on their teeth, like I have. The yellow on my teeth is almost gone.
The only thing I shouldn't have done was brush my teeth before bleaching because that probably made my gums more sensitive to the product. I left the trays on for about 20 minutes because I was scared that my gums would bleed or I would get white spots. After the twenty minutes, I swished out my mouth and the brushed my teeth. I noticed that my gums stinged a tiny bit and were a little redder than usual. Again, thats probably because I brushed my teeth before hand.
What I'm going to do, is use the trays once in a while so I don't get any bad side effects.

Today was my first time using the Aquafresh trays. In the past I have used Crest Whitestrips and have had good luck with them. With Aquafresh I drool just as much as with the Whitestrips, so no difference there but I wouldn't go out in public or try to talk like they say you can. I have pretty white teeth to begin with but still noticed a difference with the whitening gel. I wish the bottom tray fit better, but I still think it's better than the strip, which doesn't stay on well either. OK, trays are out and I like my teeth!! They are definitely whiter, although I do have a weird little white spot on my one tooth all the way to the side where the tray ended. I feel like I can tell where the trays covered and where they didn't, though, so I think I may try two trays on the top and two on the bottom next time to see if I can get all the way around. Oh, and my gums are still pink and I'm not having any sensitivity issues. :)

I'm on the second day, and on the first day, the gel kept going out of the trays and i kept picking it out of my mouth, it tasted so nasty, and i started gagging, today when i did the second treatment, it worked a little better, but i still got the gel all over, and ALOT of spit in my mouth, nasty!

These are pretty easy to use and seem to be working well. I am only on my second day and my teeth already seem whiter. I had a little bleach spot on one of my gums that was a little sore for about twenty minutes but then it went away. I think the key is to try and keep the gel off of your gums. For the people that say they drool all over the place.... they must have never worn a retainer or anything in their mouth of any sort. I definitely was fine with them in my mouth... talked a little funny but that was it. Can't wait to see how white my teeth will be when i am done with the cycle!

Getting painful chemical burns on your gums is not a good. I do not recommend it. At all. Do not buy. This crap needs to be pulled off the shelves.

I had braces for a long time and so my teeth are not the prettiest things in the world. My dentist told me it was a waste of money for him to whiten my teeth so i turned to the pharmacy. I just tried the trays TODAY about 10 minutes ago and i kept it in for 7 until i felt like my teeth were breaking. I rinsed and brushed 3 times and i still feel pain and like if i bite down on something (even pudding) i'd break my teeth. ON TOP OF THAT my gums started BLEEDING. I don't have senstive gums either. I'm the type of person who opts out of having the needle in the mouth and take it like a man. I had teeth pulled out with no painkillers or shots before and aftrer braces. This product is s***. I'm going to try the crest one which has much better reviews.

I am on day 2 of using the trays. I do notice that they are whitening my teeth but I do have a signifcant amount of pain. The box does warn you of that. You get what you pay for I guess. Everyone is different so obviously everyone is going to get different results. I have smaller teeth so the trays fit pretty well but if you have larger teeth I wouldnt recommend this form of whitening just because you might have trouble covering your teeth.

My boyfriend bought these and tried them the other night! I have never seen anything do it and don't know how it even managed this but it made his teeth worse! When he took them out after the 45 min or whatever it was, his teeth were all YELLOW AND GROSS. He looked like he smoked 4 packs of ciggs a day and dark coffee every 10 min! DO NOT BUY THESE! I always used Crest White Strips and they worked perfectly for me. I would never tell anyone to buy these unless they want their teeth to turn brown and yellow!

Aquafresh whitestrips work so well they turn your gums white too! HOW NICE! You will have such a bright smile with your gums white also. This kinda freaked me out. I called the company and they said " I was the first to report this adverse reaction and being so please contact my dentist or doctor". They could not tell me if it was permanent. It has been 24 hours since I used the trays last and some part of my gums closest to my teeth are still white. I will keep you informed. Maybe they will introduce a tray that turns your gums pink again! Good luck everyone. Not worth the white gums.

Do NOT buy this product!!
I believed the comercials and the web site when they said it was safe and effective. I used it. What I got was a terrible chemical burn on my gums and a chipped tooth!
I only used this product once. After five minutes with it on my gums started to feel warm. A few minutes later they started to burn.
They say leave the product on for 45 minutes. I only left it for twenty-five minutes. I couldn't take the pain any longer!
My teeth did NOT lighten at all. However, my gums burned, bleached white and continued to hurt all night.
This is the next day now and my gums are still white and and the pain is worse. Worse yet one tooth now has a big chip in the enamal that was not there before. The product softened my teeth to the point that one is now chipped.
I called an attourney today and I am seeing him this Friday. I AM SUING! YOU SHOULD TO!!!!!
This company should be smart and pull it off the market right now. They will be paying for the repairs to my teeth and for the extreme pain I am in.
I used the different brands to whiten my teeth before using Auquafresh. None of them did much. BUT NOT ONE OF THEM EVER BURNED MY MOUTH!!!

I wish I had seen this site before I purchsed the product, because I never would have bought the product. If you are thinking that you want whiter teeth and just can't afford professional whitening please just learn to live with what you've got. Like yourself the way you are. Don't PAY someone to make your problem worse. ITS NOT WORTH IT!!!

Hey everyone! I have a question...Do you brush your teeth before and after using the trays? I don't know if you're just supposed to rinse like some other whitening products I've tried or actually brush afterwards. I didn't see this in any of the instructions!!! Thanks!

I loved the results of the whitening trays. My only complaint is that the lower tray was not wide enough and my bottom teeth near the gum line are the original color and the two tone effect looks terrible. Can anything be done about this for future use?????
