Celebrity Smile Review

These scams are popping up like wild flowers. We are having a hard time keeping up with them!

Celebrity Smile advertises the trial offer of this product for $4.95. On checkout, the bottom of the page states in ultra small fine print "If you are happy with the product do nothing and your credit card will be charged an additional $39.95 approximately 14 days after your receive your trial shipment. In addition, approximately 30 days after you order your risk-free trial and about every 30 days thereafter, we will automatically send you an additional 1 month supply. The credit card you provide today will be billed the low price of $39.95 plus $4.95 shipping & handling for a total of $44.90 when each new product ships." I wonder how many people they have scammed thus far.

Other Observations

  • They falsely claim to be America’s #1 Selling Tooth Whitener.
  • They claim to be awarded “Best New Discovery in Tooth Whitening”. Who awarded them?
  • They falsely claim that this is the secret that celebrities use.
  • Their live chat assistant will paste canned answers like “We now only have a few trial offers left. Plus if you and sign up through me I can offer you a bonus $3 discount on shipping!”
  • The product was never mentioned on any of the listed “as seen on” sites.
  • They say it is possible to get up to “5 shades of whiteness in 1 hour.” That's impossible.
  • The product is very similar to the other scam brush-on whitener "Celebrity Sexy Smile"

I too have been cheated by this Company. Celebrity Smile & Sparkle White.
they offer a free sample of their products for just the price of shipping.
The shipping fees were less than $6.00 together but this is just the hook to get your account number.
Then they steal money from your acct before you have a chance to even try or receive your so called free sample.
I received the SparkleWhite about 8 days after I gave the shipping fee to them at the website and 2 days later they stole $92.37 from my checking acct. Celebrity Smile was a little slower but attempted to get another $67.00
but I followed my banks recommendation and canceled my debit card.
I then had to notify all my legitimate bank draft business that the pin was no longer any good and it would take a few days up to 2 wks to correct this.
I called Sparkle-White and spoke with " Chad " at customer support. Chad told me he was just a college student trying to earn extra money "with this gig ".
He stated that the sample was not a sample supply but that you only had 10 days from the time you give them your pin # until you are charged the
$92.37 for the product whether you like the product or not.
You have also been set up to continue the theft( my words ) on a monthly basis unless you get a RMA # from them. The product showed up with no paperwork whatsoever.
I found out that " Central Coast Nutraceuticals Inc. is the Company behind this and many other types of scams. The BBB gives them a rateing of " F " on a scale of A to F.
Has anyone started a Class-Action Suite against them ? If so how do I get my name on that list.
I also spent another $ 7.30 to send their unused sample product back to them via FedEx ( for tracking )
Celebrity Smile was shipped from Largo Fla and Sparkle White was shipped from Pleasant Grove UT
I filed a complaint with the BBB of both States and stated in my complaint that this was an Intentional Pre-meditated Scam to steal money from honest peoples bank accounts and is no different from bank robbery or breaking into ones home and stealing their valueables.
The Customer Service Rep for Celebrity Smile was an arrogant Butt worm
who would start speaking every time I began speaking and would not let me get or give any information. He hung up on me twice after I had enough of his crap.

Does anyone have a phone no. to reach Celebrity Smile to make a complaint? They scammed me on the price! When I press "Customer Service" on their website, it does not go through! I never even opened the package so I can't rate it...I don't even want to try it!
This site is requiring me to rate the product on how well it works or they won't submit my comment so I will rate it "1" just so I can get through. Same goes with "Agreeability"!

I also cancelled well within the alloted time. I asked the rep to make sure that I would not be billed the $59.95 since I had cancelled within the trial period. He informed me that I would indeed be billed.I was furious. I asked him his name, he refused to tell me. I asked to speak with a supervisor. He first told me there wasnt one then he said he would transfer me. They put me on hold and no one ever came to the phone! I immediately called my bank and cancelled my debit card. Thank goodness I was able to do this before all the charges posted on my acct. A lesson learned unfortunately. I will report to the BBB. Hopefully my credit report will not reflect this as I refuse to give these scammers anymore money.

I also fell for this scam. Even after I specifically told Celebrity Smile DO NOT send or bill me monthly they are still billing me $59.95. They did offer to let me keep the tube of whitener for a one time charge of $39.95. This outfit is such a rip. So is Denta-White - same exact rip-off. If it sounds too good to be true - it probably is!!!

I am furious!!! I never buy into these dumb scams, but I actually fell for this one because it was "some local mother in my area". I bought two of the products--free samples, only pay shipping and handling---"Celebrity Smile, and Denta White". Sure enough, I was charged $92.37 for the Celebrity Smile, and $59.95 for the Denta White. Thank you for the heads up on canceling my card. I will get this done today. I called Denta White and cancelled right away. I couldn't find a customer service number for Celebrity Smile and the website kept taking me to different companies, so when I called those numbers, they told me they didn't even represent Celebrity Smile. I was only able to track down the customer service number by one of the comments listed above. Thank you so much! It sounds like it won't make a difference though, I will still need to cancel my card. I appreciate everyone's comments, and I am furious at these scammers. What is wrong with people?????

Thank heavens I saw this site and read all your reviews before I signed up for their "trial-offer". I was about to enter my CC details, but decided to check...good thing I did.

An easy way to give it back to these guys is to click on every ad you see for them online. You know that companies need to pay each time someone clicks on their ad. It's called Search Engine Marketing (or SEM).

I saw their "scam" ad on foxnews.com and I believe they also advertise on other news network web-sites (and possibly search engines). Make sure you click every time to see their "scam" ad appear on any web-site. The more times you click, the more money they will be charged for each click-through.

Make sure you back out or close the browser every time you click, so you do not sign up for the trial. Just clicking and opening their landing page should be enough. So click-away and give it back to them!!!!!!

I am a dental hygienist and decided to try this product to see if it might be something to recommend to my patients that could not afford professional whitening. I fell for the advertisement that said try it for free. I guess I did not read carefully enough. When I discovered a $61.75 charge on my debit account, I contacted the company and told them that I had cancelled my membership in the timeframe indicated. They told me that the agreement was that after I tried it for free then I would be charged. This makes no sense. Do not fall for this scam like I did. I am warning all of my patients and anybody else that I can DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!

I called to find out where my product was as it had been 9 days since I ordered the two products that allegedly worked for this Mom. Note: these are 14 day trials, leaving me 5 days if it arrived today, which they have not. When I called I was told I would be charged $79.99 if I did nothing. Wait! What? Yeah, so it's a "free" trial but not really, So I told them to just cancel the order, well ( and here is the big hitch ) to cancel the order you have to call in within the 14 day "free" trial period, you also have to mail the unused portion or empty containers back to them (via UPS, even though they say they send the stuff to you via USPS, saving them money. ) They also charge you $6.99 as some sort of restocking charge? Okay... if you fell for this as I did, and they haven't hit you yet, but are about to with their $79.99 charge. Cancel that credit or debit card, and just get another reissued. That way these scammers will not have your information. At this time I still have not received the product, but have cancelled my card. What's that old saying, " You F$+& with the bull, you get the horns." Don't be bullied by these telemarketing scammers.

TOTAL SCAM! From the agressive and deceptive marketing tactics to the buried fine print, it all leads to a $59.95 charge for the "free sample" that you are lead to believe that you will only be paying the postage on. My bank advised be to cancel the card since even through the "membership" was cancelled they could very well bill you next month if they have your number. Why isn't the Attorney General of Florida all over these dishonest people?

I haven't gotten the bogus charges yet, only the shipping charge. However, they scammed me in a different way. I found an ad on my local craigslist for a company called Lineur offering $1500 to teeth whitening study participants. I emailed them, and received an email from what seemed like a legitimate person explaining how to sign up for the study and receive the product, saying that after I received the product, to email her back and set up a meeting. The link she gave me redirected me to the celebrity smile site, and like a dope, I signed up. After receiving the product, I emailed her back, asking when the meeting would be for the study. Two weeks later, I haven't heard back. I figured I'd try the stuff anyway, and found this site while I was checking to make sure it wouldn't rot my teeth out or anything. Thanks to you guys, I canceled any pending order they may have on file for me, and hopefully dodged this bullet.

I got sucked into this scam also -- after 25 years of being virus, worm, fraud, and phishing scam free in my frequent online purchases. It's a very workable scam, as we could ALL use a little teeth whitening. I fell for the mom who said using both products was the key to great results. I didn't read the terms and conditions when I ordered the product -- and discovered that as a special customer I have also been signed up for Skinny.com for a free trial period, and after 30 days they will begin billing my credit card on record for $29.95 per month. This is truly outrageous behavior by scum sucking wasted sperm who believe that those of us who work for our money deserve to be separated from it. The problem for consumers is that this is a legitimate approach to marketing. If the product is any good, I wouldn't mind purchasing some after the trial period.
Here's what I've done. I tried calling their customer service number as instructed, but was greeted by a message telling me RMA numbers are not issued by phone but can only be obtained on their web site. I went there and requested the number and canceled my membership. I then reported their fraudulent asses to the Tennessee Attorney General's consumer fraud division. I then called my bank to cancel the card immediately (so far I'd only been charged the two shipping charges). So they will not be able to add any additional charges to my account.
Now I'm going to send my entire email list a complete description of what happened -- much to my embarrassment, but I think my learning curve should be shared.
I wish I'd searched on their name ahead of time, but I chalk this up as a cheap lesson -- less than $5 plus about an hour of my time. I'll return their stupid goods so they have no further claim against me, and I'll refer any calls or mail to my attorney.

Regards, y'all
Reggie

Well I figured if I checked it out I would find others who had been dupped by these scam artists as well! My boyfriend and I both ordered the free trial. We cancelled within the 14 days but (to no surprise to you) we were still charged. I eventually had to cancel my credit card to stop the charges. Now, 7 months later...yes, 7 months later, I am getting emails from Chris Benson, Collections, stating that if I do not pay them more money that they will turn it over to a 3rd party collection agency and it will go against my credit. I work for a financial institution and I really hate for my credit to get smudged by this, but the sensible side of me KNOWS that I do not owe them any money! I think I am going to write someone to see if I can get help with stopping these crooks from scamming innocent folks like us who just want to try a new product. The worse part is that the product don't even work! Hope everyone here alerts everyone they possibly can so others won't fall victim. I have put a blog on Topix and plan to put one on MySpace, Facebook and Twitter.

After realizing this was a scam I then call the credit card to cancel my acct so that they could not make any charge to my credit card. next day I contacted Celebrity Smile told them that I don't want/making sure that there will be no more shipments. well, several months later I rcvd the email from thier internal collection department states that I owe them $150.00 * processing fee for KEEP tring to charge to my credit card.
I spoke with the lady who had my accont information she was threaten to forward my acct information to 3rd collection agency.
I sent email to State of Arizona Attorney General sent them detail email well, approx 6wks later rcvd the letter from Attorney General office states that they will look into my case. approx 2-3wks later rcvd another letter informing me that they took my complaint against celebrity smile they (celebrity smile) sent letter to Attorney General that they will not contact me and my acct is closed. I will not owe them any money. All collection attempts have been seized
Good Luck everyone! don't loose your hope.

This company doesn't even deserve a 1, but there were no negative numbers to choose. TOTAL RIP-OFF!!! I had my "FREE" trial tube of this crap for 3 days and today I saw a charge for $59.95 on my account. I immediately called the customer service center and got some scmuck who blatantly did not care about anything. He insisted that I had the tube for ten days, which I have not. So, I got pissed and told him it was a bunch of bullshit!!! He instantly gave me an RMA # and I'm sending my free trial tube back today. Just don't forget to read the fine print that came with your trial it says that delivery confirmation is required on all returns. On the form it also says that the ten day trial period starts four days after you place your order, orders are usually delivered within four days. Does this really qualify for a ten day free trial? I think not. Lying scumbag losers. I really hope they get sued, they deserve it. I can't believe I fell for their scam. It is so frustrating to have to constantly be watching everyone and everything these days.

I was disgusted with this product. It is indeed a scam. Offered as a "Trial" product, you are not even allowed a full week to try it out before they have charged your credit card. And it does cause sensitivity to your teeth.

Celebrity Smiles is the biggest scam that I've seen in America. They claim that it's a risk free trial but it's not. I called their 800 number ten days before the trial period was over and I was told by the customer service representative that I don't have to return the product and I won't get charge for it. That was a total lie. That free trial stick that they send you cost $65.40. I wasn't aware of it until I received my credit card bill. I contacted the company right away and the rep told me that the product they send you for the trial period is the full price if you keep it but when I cancelled it I was told by the rep that there wasn't any charge for it other than the shipping fee you paid. The rep I spoke to when I complained about the credit card charge also tried to negotiate with me saying that if I keep the product he will issue me a $20 refund from the $65.40 that they charged me. He also said that if I decide to return it, the product needs to be receive by them within two days because it's almost up to the 30 day period. I argued with the rep and told him that I'd rather send it back because I want a full refund and he said that it's going to cost me more if i do that. This scam should stop and I'm going to complain with the Better Business Bureau. They are a total scam.

Total SCAM-I highly recommend you do not buy anything from this company(BriteSmile, WhiteSmile, DazzleSmile, any many other various names).
Not only do you get this garbage toothpaste and whitener, but you also get signed up for all of these bogus subscriptions(resvpure, ezykits, Healthtracker, antiaging, pristinehealth, etc.,) that also charge you monthly. Oh and I forgot to mention foriegn transaction fees.
You will be charged 92.00 monthly showing up on your credit card statement through various names. They will take none of the crap back regardless of if it was opened or not. This is the worst company I have ever encountered! With people struggling in this economy this company has the audacity to pull this kind of scam! it is a shame!!!!!!
