Whitening Brites Review

The Whitening Brites System is a scam. You will see this product advertised on the internet through fake testimonials posted on blogs. While the product is better than the scam brush-on whiteners, the company uses far too many illicit marketing tactics to make this system legitimate. Their website will try to lure you in with their free sample offer - you will actually be signing up for a month-to-month supply that will be billed at $88.97 per month.

Our Observations

  • Whitening Brites uses phony testimonial blogs to dupe consumers.
  • The product was never mentioned on any of the listed "as seen on" sites.
  • Their website uses a timer to create a false sense of urgency. They do not want you to read the terms and conditions.
  • The imagery on the WhiteningBrites website is also used on the landing page for celebritysexyteeth[dot]com (another scam product).
  • The light based system has no effect on whitening (read this article on tooth dehydration).

What a collossal scam! Appears that no one can help. I too asked for the free trial offer and was somehow magically enrolled in their monthly shipping scam! For my monthy shipment I received 2 TINY syringes of their magic tooth whitening potion and a bill for $88.00 (which had been charged without consent) to my credit card. They are much more skilled in the art of theivery than in making a tooth whitening product that does any damned good at all. Credit card company declined to cancel the charges to my card. . And the Whitening Brites personnel and correspondence were threatening and cocky! They know they have us!
What in the hell is up with this crap? So sick of the rip offs that we have no control over and no back up on.

A complete scam...do not fall for the free sample, because, believe me, "free" will turn into $88 dollars before you can say "This is JUNK!"

Like everyone else...I also fell for this scam...I was charged the same fees.
I was charged twice on my checking account $7.14 just yesterday.
I have cancelled and called the numbers I ws told to call on the website. I got charged by a company called Health Member.
I agree it is very frustrating. I spoke to my bank to dispute the fee last month and the bank told me if they keep charging without authorization,
the best thing for me to do is have a new card issued...just for those of u out there u may have to do the same thing.
This scam company needs to be taken down.
Oh by the way I never recieved the product as of today. All this started in May here it is August and it is still not settled.

I ordered both Whitening Brites and Dazzle Whites on May 26th, 2009. Also thought I was just ordering the samples. 14 days later there has been a withdrawal for $88.97 and $9.99. Called the phone numbers listed on bank account statement and received same response as all of the above. I did get the $9.99 deposited back into my account but not the $88.97. Then on June 16th, was charged $58.76 for DazzleWhites, on June 23rd, $7.14 for membership and $3.24 for web access. Made all the right steps but have only received $9.99 back into account. I am now going through my bank to see what they can do. By looking at above responses it doesn't look good.

Was BBB able to assist in this matter?

Lesson to be learned: always check background before ordering what looks like a great deal!!!

I was taken for $157.72 by charges to my account from whitening bites, axiswellness portal, and dazzlewhite. The lengthy dealings with this company to try to get these charges refunded, have assured me that they are just a huge scamming operation.
Visa and Mastercard should not be doing business with them and they should definiely be investigated for internet fraud!

Then I also received 3 days later another package of the crap. I am now sending everything back again and demanded a refund, as I am being charged $28.00 a day in overdraft charges!! I will NEVER use debit card on a website ever again!!

I too was ripped off by the Dynamic Duo Ad (mom named Cathy) which was posted on yahoo... JUNE 1ST I ordered two products, paid for the shipping and recieved the trial samples> a pen and a tube with a mouth piece. By June 12 my account was charged $77 and on June 15 another $88 plus $9.99 for membership! They hit my debit card for more than $183.00 IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!

BEWARE... DON'T ORDER ANYTHING LIKE THIS ON LINE! THERE ARE MANY, MANY NAMES OF THESES PRODUCTS ALL BEING SOLD BY THE SAME MARKETING SCAMMERS.

COLON PRODUCTS ARE ALSO SCAMMING PEOPLE WITH MONTHLY CHARGES FOR MEMBERSHIP

Ditto the other comments. Total rip-off. I ordered my "Free" trial but never received the product. Two weeks later I'm charged $88.97 cause I didn't cancel w/in 15 days.

Called them and all they could say was it was shipped. Not to me it wasn't! Told me they would now cancel my future orders, BUT NOT REFUND THE 88 bucks. Once again, I've received nothing! Contacted my bank for help and awaiting a reply.

Feels good to vent. Pass the word and get these a-holes out of business.

Unbelievable outright scam.
I've just ordered the sample from yahoo email ad and paid 4.99.
After receiving the product, I decided not to use it at all because it is not FDA approved and the product looks so crappy.
I did see the memo stating that I have to return in order to get refund, but I decided to gave up the money not to go through sending back and ask for the refund.
But about 15 days later, I noticed that they charged $89 and additional $9 for the monthly membership, which I didn't signed up and authorized.
I've called the bank of america and asking for blocking the payment, but they said they cannot do that because 15 days passed.
I've sent the email and called the whitening brites call center and asked for the refund but they keep says to send the email, but when I did send the email to the call center, their reply was that I can not get the refund because 15 days were passed. What a fucking liars and losers!
15 days passed for the sample packages, but not for the 2nd packages that they shipped and charged..
Banks and credit card companies should do something about this scam company!!

I am reporting this company to the BBB and I'm contacting my bank to dispute the charges. I had the exact same experience as other posters. I found they would not honor their return policy, which says that you are entitled to a FULL refund on ALL shipments within the last 15 days. Mine was shipped on 6/15, and I contacted them about a return on 6/18. The name on the email was Charlie Griffin, who told me that they would not honor their own return policy. When I called 1-888-246-2140, I was told Charlie Griffin was not in yet, but when I called back I was told that Griffin works in billing and could not be reached except by email. Their address is listed as 263 W. Olive Ave. #130, Burbank CA 91502 (a mailbox).

The same thing has happened to me.............i've called and talked to someone who said that they had my money on hold and it wasn't suppose to be taken out till the 12th this was a few days ago and they ended up taking it out on the 9th? Two days early after i e-mailed them and told them to cancel in the 15 day period............Mayjor scam ripped me off!! Alll i know is that i better get refunded!! I'm sending it back i'm not paying 88.97 for something i never used!! I reported them to the local news station to investagate i think everyone else should do the same, i'm also talking to my bank to see what they can do as well!! Also did anyone get a call from them offering free trials on stuff and like free gas?? Cause i did and i canceled the whole thing right then and there but still was charged?!?! Sooooooo frustrating, i feel like an idiot!! These people are scamming hundreds of dollars!!

I ordered Whitening Brites and Dazzle White just before leaving on a business trip on 6/2. The product arrived about 6 - 7 days later, which is when I checked my bank account and noticed a charge for $88.97 ( Whitening Brites ) and $58.76 ( Dazzle White ). The rep told me the Terms and Conditions stated the trial was 15 days and I would be billed afterward. He must have meant 15 days after I thought about purchasing the free b/c the math is a little off. And... we wonder how the mortgage crisis happened??? And... we wonder why consumer confidence is so low???

I received this stupid thing in the mail, and then 2 days later I got charged the 88 dollars and I e-mailed them about it and received a reply saying about the fine print. But I checked the date on my bank account when I was charged and it wasn't even close to 2 weeks since I ordered this. I'm reporting to the BBB.

Yeah man, they sent me this little tube of stuff that lasts for like a week, and charged my account 88.97 like it said above. I am in contact with the proper authorities and am working to bring this company down. My bank refunded the charges and said they deal with this particular company a lot so they've been scamming like this for a while. I'm going to do a fraud investigation of my own and try to bring them down so no one else has to experience this crap from them ever again.

Whitening brites was a total rip off. I was charged 88.92 for absolutly nothing. Then to top it off I was charged 9.99 and when I called the number the bank provided it was to a product for colon relief and when I got ahold of someone it was the same person I had spoke to for whitening brites and verified that I had already spoken with them. Ive had to put a hold on my card till I recieve another. How do you go about reporting and catching this type of scam? And how will I get my money back?
