Shimmering White Review

The Shimmering White Brush-on Whitener is a scam. You will see this product advertised on the internet through fake testimonials posted on blogs, forums and phony review sites. The product is also known as Bright Teeth Pro.

Our Observations

  • Shimmering White uses fake testimonial blogs to trick consumers into thinking it is a legitimate product.
  • The product does not work and is over priced for a brush-on teeth whitener.
  • We doubt this was "developed and manufactured by dental professionals." It is not FDA or ADA approved.
  • Shimmering White was never mentioned on any of the listed "as seen on" sites. (Style, OH!, E, Ok!, VH1, etc)
  • The Shimmering White website uses the "limited amount" gimmick to create a false sense of urgency. They do not want you to read the terms and conditions ($59.95 a month!).

After being well shafted for just over £400 quid i am fuming,i have just closed my bank account to stop these vile peole and there piggy backing companys taking anymore cash out of it.I tried everything i possibly could to cancel but its like chasing a ghost, phone calls dont work e-mails dont work no return address AHHHHH! and when i did cancel money still came out of my bank account UNDER DIFFERENT COMPANY NAMES i know all these horrible little companys are the same one but with different names and can you find them can you f**k. I spent 2 weeks at home trying to sort this mess out i advise anyone else who has done this to close your bank account down and open a new one, i know its a hassle but it will save you money, dont just cancel your card as they still hve access to your bank account details. i have just been onto the sun website to post a story, at least if they print something about it i will have saved more people being screwed over by what is the biggest internet SCAM ever.My bank have been no bloody use at all as they couldnt stop the payments only when i said i would take my money to a rival bank did they listen. The bank fraud investigation team know all about it but they are pretty powerless to stop it.Cheers for f***ing my christmas over you scumbags!

Shiimmering White , aka Purlywhite or anything similar is another one of those teeth whiting rip off sites. This one in particular has made it exceptionally hard to try contact them to cancel and if you are oversea’s it virtually impossible. They pull the same scam that that Dazzlesmile pulls (There are already numerous reports on them)

Anyway this is how it works big flashy site promising the world in terms of whiting your teeth with all the usual tons of testimonials, the popup dentist telling you how good this is and how “RISK FREE” the trial is with all the bells and whistles blowing about their satisfaction guarantee excellent service and so on …. The tell tale signs of a scam site are all there and I was dumb enough to fall for It. The $2.95 for the trial, I thought what the hell, if it a scam I don’t care about losing $2.95. I think many people think this and that’s where the catch is because all they want is your credit card details so they can bill you $82.40 per month for every month plus you will have also unlocked your twenty-one-day Wellbeing Tips Comprehensive eBook package for just $9.80 a month thereafter or some fitness site for $20.40 a month.

I’m quite sure the crap they send you is just that crap if their product had any value and is worth something then people would want it and pay a fair price for it not have to join some club and receive monthly shipments.

Back to my experience.. the Alarm bells went off when I completed the order and it now said that I was going to be billed $5.95 instead of the $2.95 plus a site address with a username and password.

Ok so I go back and search the site to why I’ve been billed more and WTF are those two websites that I’m now members of…Well finally in the terms and conditions which is obscurely hidden away I find the following:

“Offer Details: When you order today you'll be signed up as a member of our exclusive preferred customer club. You will be billed $4.95 for the shipping of your 14-day day trial, then once you choose to continue whitening with the Shimmering White System the low member price of only $82.40 per month for every month. And remember, there's never any obligation - you can cancel your membership at anytime by calling 800-856-8676. You have also unlocked your twenty-one-day Wellbeing Tips Comprehensive eBook package for just $9.80 a month thereafter (shows "Wellbeing"), should you choose not to cancel. Prior charges for bonuses are non-refundable but subscription can be cancelled and future charges stopped at any time. To cancel, call toll-free 888-204-5299 for Wellbeing Tips. Orders outside of US pay an additional $9.95 for shipping. No obligation, CANCEL ANYTIME!”

I then do go and start at the beginning of the site to see how the F**K I got scammed… well the landing page is all full of promise and testimonials and a call to action offering the risk free trail at the $2.95 – click on there and you end up at the pace requesting your credit card details. Note that the page lands so that the page is scrolled down a little and the banners look like you are at the top but clearly hiding the small print which says they are about to screw you .. They don’t want you to read this they hide it at the top and ensure that the background and text are similar in color and very small. I missed that the first time around and I’m sure many others did to. At this point I realize I’ve been scamed.

The only thing now is to get out of it .. thank god I did this over the weekend on Sunday and I live in Australia so I’m ahead of time to these F**kers so my bank is open and doing business while they still sleeping.

First thing I do is contact the bank and report that my credit card details has fallen into fraudulent hands and everything need to be blocked from now and for evermore into the future. Well they cancel the card which effectively means that any transaction that tries to go through will be blocked. I’ll get a new credit card in about a week somewhat of an inconvenience but I guess that’s the price I’ve got to pay for been an idiot.

Now it’s almost 11pm Monday night and I’m waiting for it to be 9:00am MNT time so I can call try call these F**Kers and cancel everything … I’m not expecting much success and I also don’t trust them. Regardless I want to do everything to ensure no attempt to get any money from me is made.

In Conclusion .. I’m usually one who stays away from anything that looks like a scam and I usually can recognize one a mile away, and I did with this but because the initial offer was so low I was prepared to take a chance and wasn’t worried about losing $2.95 … I learnt my lesson now the small amount is just the bait the tip of the ice berg, the lower and less significant the offering is the bigger the sting is.

The rules are simple … it’s a scam site if the offering is too good to be true, if blogs and articles sites recommend these site, they are just affiliate marketing. If there is no contact details or difficult to find on the site and the address is a P.O.Box No phone numbers. And most importantly always read the terms and conditions of any site before you hand over any financial details.

don't expect too much from the credit card company, i too was scammed and told credit card company which they placed under investigation. Had letter this morning saying that because i didn't cancel it with the company i can kiss my money goodbye. But with no address for the company and a phoney phone number.....how the hell are you supposed to cancel it!! So now lost £57 and have nothing to show for it!

Just got off the phone with my credit card company....must have had the most annoying man on the phone today, wasn't listening to me at all!! Kept telling me to write to shimmering teeth to cancel!! ARGGGGGGHHHHH!! If i had an address i would!!! Anyway...............after asking to be put through to somebody that would actually listen....they put me through to the fraud department, who will send more forms but HOPEFULLY get my money back (fingers crossed)

So don't give up people, go straight through to the fraud department of your credit card company and try that way.......i'll keep you posted if it works out for me.

I too fell for this one and only realised when I opened my credit card statement today.
They have taken a grand total of £229.16 not including the free trial postage fees.
This was all taken over a period of 14 days and to 4 different companies; Shimmering Teeth, Ultifreshwell, Wellbeing tips and Improve health.

My first step was to get straight on the phone to my credit card company as I had not authorised these transactions. They were absolutely amazing! I was advised that they had already received over 200 calls just in one morning about these companies. The credit card company are sending me cancellation letters for these subscriptions which I have to sign, date and return. Once received, they will do the rest - cancel the subscriptions and have my money refunded. They advised that these collective companies are acting fraudulently and formal investigations are going on.

I hope it does all end well, like the card company have promised. However, I really feel for others who have paid by bank account :-(

It's amazing that this has been allowed to go on for so long. I work hard for a living and find it disgusting that someone is obviously making HUGE amounts of money by being devious and deceptive.
I wish everyone all the best in their battles with these companies and would dearly like to warn others not to go near them with a bargepole - but naturally, we don't come across these types of review sites until it is too late. :-(

SCAM! It's even more frustrating that if you find the website , it keeps routing you to a different website. They are stealing a lot of money from people. They do not have just one website and this just proves that they are a bunch of liar.

I cant believe I have been taken for this scam as usually am so careful. Howerer I was in a rush and doing it for a friend and never read any of the small print. My biggest mistake was thinking that MSN would not post a scam advert on their home page. HA, I cant believe I was that naive.

I have been take for 180 dollars and am sure no way of getting that back but my god what I would give to get my hands on them. Does anyone know where they are based. I would love to give them a little visit. I do travel a lot and really would love to go see their little cretin of a manager.

What a scam. Woman from Bolton discovers a combination of 2 different products really whiten your teeth!
I too thought it was a FREE offer with just under $2 postage. No mention of signing up to anything or them sending anything else in the future. It stated that they would send you a FREE trial and all they wanted in return was you to fill in a questionaire on line as to how well it worked. Simple? Free? NO problem? Thought it was worth a go.
Suddenly well over a £130 had disappeared on beauty product companies (4 different ones) from my bank account within a week of sending for the FREE offer. Thank goodness the fraud section of my bank were on the ball and rang me to ask if I had made these payments. My bank refunded the payments prior to investigation.
Watch out for these free offers. I can't believe I fell for it and the product doesn't work.

I was stupid enough to follow this link:
http://myteethtrick.com/my-white-teeth.php?t202id=55083&t202kw=PN
It recommends these two products:

1)Smile Whites
https://www.smilewhitespro.com/?partner=LCM_promo&referenceid=377549860
2)Denta White
http://white-smiles.com/?S=0008&P=401599&X=377569790&css=dental.2

This is huge scam, they sign you up for 1 year plan and charge you every month without any notification. I also noticed that they change the return address so that you will not be able to return their trial stuff back in time.

I also fell for this and it has cost me £140 so far!!

I have cancelled the debit card that I used.

I thought that this would do it, however, my bank (Lloyds TSB) have informed me that cancelling your debit card does not stop the money being taken from it. You must also cancel the subscription.

You then have to wait 15 days from the date that you cancel the agreement for the money to stop being taken from the debit card (as the bank can stop the transactions after this point).

Best of Luck.

Hi Guys, I have been part of this scam too! Sadly I didnt realise it's a scam for a month, so i have lost over 100 quid! Firstly charges $8.00 from PURE WHITE - okay, I thought it's delivery fee. Secondly another $6,89 from Shimmering White - okay, I thougt it's delivery fee for the second product. In the same time PURELY WHITE charged me $89 so I sent them an email immediately asking for cancellation - no response. Now I checked my statement and WELLBEINGTIPS charged me another $9 and apparently will do so every month!

So I have taken following steps:

1. email: sales@shimmeringwhite.com and returns@shimmeringwhite.com informing them that I want to cancel and return the products, membership and anything else associated with those companies.

2. Cancel my cards, as I don't want to go mental and check my statement every hour so just did it for a peace of mind.

Now awaiting confirmation from this CON company as of they've cancelled the order and want me to return this S*H*I*T*

BE AWARE I wasn't and am 100 pounds poorer!!

Me too. Is there nothing we can all do collectively to shut this down. There must be someone out there that can stop this from happening to good honest people.

If a person was mugged for their money; it would be considered a serious crime.... that's what has happened to everyone here. We've all be mugged. I would love to go round to their offices and give this bunch geeks a good old honest bashing.

Twats!

I signed up for the free trial, unaware of what I was letting myself in for. I tried the product, it didn't work, and I thought that was the end of it. However, I then received e-mails telling me that further goods were on the way. The tracking number they sent turned out to be useless, so I tried to contact the company themselves. After several days of trying to get through, I eventually managed to speak to 'Crystal' who told me that this is what I had signed up for and I needed an authorisation code in order to return the goods.

While I was waiting for the delivery in order to return them, I received my credit card statement. On it were five separate charges made during a two week period, from four different companies. I only recognised the name of one of them, but they were all obviously linked to Shimmering White, something which a bit of research on the web confirmed. For information the names were as follows:-

Shimmering Teeth
Pristinehealth
Well Being Tips
Ultifresh Well

So, back on the phone to 'Crystal' (different voice/accent but same name) who confirmed that they were a group of companies told me the names of the other companies were not relevant to me. When I insisted that the names of the other companies were relevant to me, she hung up.

I have since cancelled my credit card, and have been assured by the credit card company that not further demands for funds from any of these names will be paid. They have also told me that this is not the first that they have heard of these people, and they are currently engaged in a more thorough investigation of their business practices. Despite this, it looks like I will end up being out of pocket for almost £200. My advice is avoid them at all costs.

I also fell for these conmen I received my trial which wasnt anygood anyways, to then look into my bank account 2weeks later and found that these bastards had taken over £200 out of my account. I immediatley got incontact with my bank who quickly cancelled my debit card, they advised me to call these people which I did and was left on hold for half an hour, I then tried another number and it had been cut off. Please Please Please dont get taken in by this shit.

Oh dear God, how the hell do I get these Scheiße conmen to stop giving out my credit card details to others, especially since the message on their answerphone stipulated the they WOULD NOT pass my details to any body else. Yah right!
Since they are the liars and thieves, why are they not being sued? [Probably because no one knows where they are.]
