Dazzle Smile Review

The DazzleSmile Teeth Whitener is a scam. This product is exactly like its sister product, Dazzle White. A lot of consumers are being dupped by this one right now! You will see this product advertised on the internet through fake testimonials, review sites, and blogs.

Our Observations

  • Dazzle Smile uses fake testimonial blogs to dupe consumers.
  • Dazzle Smile does not work and is over priced for a brush-on teeth whitener.
  • Dazzle Smile falsely claims to be the "#1 selling tooth whitener."
  • Their website uses a fake "qualification system." You will always "qualify" for the product.
  • The livechat respresentative is not a real person. It is programmed to give automated replies.
  • The Dazzle Smile checkout page displays a fake "dentist preferred" seal and has false "mcafee secure" and "truste" certification images.
  • Dazzle Smile will also charge consumers for non teeth whitneing products/programs (read their terms and conditions).

This must be stopped. Dazzle Smile are nothing but thieves and con merchants.
They trick you when you order their 'low price' sample and charge you a)excessive postage and b)on going amounts that you supposedly signed up to and agreed.
They also trick you into believing you are getting a one time deal and get you to leave a box ticked. You think that this is for getting the sample at a real good price but infact, by not unchecking the box you automatically agree to taking on another service or product, like the World Club Fitness program. Because you were tricked to not unchecking the box they will now say that you agreed to pay another amount, in my case $26 per month.
Then, when they send you the sample they charge you the postage seperately, being a small amount. This shows on your statement and you think that it's not so bad BUT what you don't know is that's just the postage. A week or so later you realise that they then debit you a much larger figure, say $80. Then, by the time you've realised it's gone past the 30 day trial and they refuse to credit you back the money even if you do send it back.
Whilst you're trying to get the credit from them they then debit you again a similar amount and you would not have even received the next item. When querying the next payment and no product they say 'Oh don't worry, it will be with you any day', 'If you're not happy with the products just send them back and once we've received them we will credit your account'. That is another lie. I sent them back, by recorded delivery and they still do not want to credit my account.
Then you find out you're being charged for the 'unchecked' box service, mine being some fictitious 'World Club Fitness Program', for which you have absolutely no knowledge and in my case never received any product, service, link to an on-line magazine or otherwise.
After kicking up a stink they promised to cancel the account with them and not debit any more from your credit card. You put down the phone and hope that all will be credited and nothing more debited. WRONG. A few days later you find that not only have they debited your credit card a 4th or 5th time using various pseudo names, they have also passed your details onto another 'affilliated' company who has debited your account for similar amounts.
When phoning this new company I am told that I must have ordered from both companies....for similar products?!? Do they really think you're that stupid. Well, the truth is they do....and unfortunately we are...because we were stupid enough to believe that we were dealing with an respectable, honest and reputable company.
The truth is they are not. They are nothing but cheapscates and rogues, acting deliberately to con people out of their hard earned money. And by using the internet to sell their very unworthy products, they play their tricks and gain your money by nothing short of fraudulent practices.
For any of you who have done what I did, do yourself a favour. report your credit cards lost or stolen and gain new ones with completely different numbers. Then report this company to your bank, credit card company, the police, a wonderful web site like this and anyone else you feel might help you, us to stop companies like this from using their immoral, fraudulent practices.
Oh, one more thing you can do to get your own back is to regularly phone their toll free number, say 10 or 20 times a day when you're sitting around enjoying a coffee or a glass of wine. It might be toll free to us, the caller but they still have to pay for those calls. If they have to pay a cent per call from one person, that's not a lot. If we can get a couple of million to call them 20 times a day we might make a dent in their ill gained proffits.
If any of you have any other ideas as to how we can get our own back on this/these companies, lets get together, share the ideas and DO IT!

Some one needs to delete the pro-forma repsonse from Gilbert below, dated Nov. 17. It's the identical bogus response by DazzleSmile currently being plastered all over the internet.

The FTC is investigating this scam and now the Senate is looking into it as well. See the following AP link:

Bye bye Dazzlesmile scammers. I hope you rot in prison.

Have also been scammed by both Dazzle Smile and Alta White. Stopped my card when they sent me an email saying they were going to deduct £80 from my account, yet they still managed to take money from my account 10 days after my card was stopped. Contacted my banks fraud dept and they told me these companies put all the further payments they intend to take from you as pending on the day that you sign up for the trial so therefore stopping your card has no effect!!! infact it was the fraud department that actually processed the payments after my card was stopped as they have to honour payments processed before you stop your card. Unknown to myself i had also been signed up to other companies that i have never heard of that are taking money out my account all over the place, £7 here, £30 there!!!! a grand total of over £200 so far. Managed to speak to someone and got a cancellation number but have been told to expect a further charge next week for another £40 as i didn't tell them in time!!!!! Awful labyrinth of confusion and feel sick that someone can just take money out my account for a really crap product!

DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT!!!! IT IS A SCAM!!!!! My mom ordered this for me because they were advertising a FREE trial size & you just have to pay the $1.95 shipping. Well, then they send you 4 more tubes in the next week & charge you $75.00 per tube PLUS they also charge you for the so called "free trial" tube you already received. My mom called to get it straightened out & the only way it is FREE is if you send the tube back UNUSED!!! WHAT A SCAM!!! Who is going to send it back before they try it? This company should be ashamed of themselves & AOL should be ashamed for advertising these false products!! AOL is where I read the article about this so called "miracle" tooth whitening system in the first place. PLEASE BEWARE!!!

I'm so glad that I called Dazzlesmile immediately when I received my order...after I called them I found out the charges...etc...Please call and cancel as soon as possible. Resend the product back promptly with a tracking number (it cost me less than $2.00 to send the item back within 3 days). Log on to the postal services site u utilized and track the item sent, once you verified Dazzlesmile received the item using the tracking, call Dazzlesmile and asked them to give you the status of item received back to them...they probably will tell you they did not receive it...them reveal to them that you have a tracking number indicating they have the item....afterwards, they will stop the future charges and cancel your order. Lastly, monitor your credit card statements closely just in case. I had to go through that entire process...this company should be locked up for fraud, hoping hard working individuals are not that smart to cancel in the allotted time, monitoring their money and this company banking on customers not reading the terms and conditions.

Total scam, total waste of my time trying to figure it all out. Cancelled my credit card and the credit card co. was well aware of these thieves. It amazes me how people can be so dishonest. To take trust and throw it against a wall, to demoralize people so freely. Sad for this company and its owners. Also mad for being so taken advantage of. When I was talking to the co. and cancelling all my many new memberships the call guy said, "this happened to me once to" . I could tell he was sorry, I am sure that he just needed the job. Why else would anyone work for a co. like that.

I ordered this product for $1.95 shipping and it takes a 7 to 10 days to get, before my 14 day trial ended I was charged $87.62 then a week later charged $87.62 again then a week later was charged $24.82 for some world fittness that I had opted out of to start with. So beware of all the hidden charges that they will not refund to you . Also they said they were like 4 more things that you sign up for also. So buyers BEWARE!!!!!!!!! Don't give them your credit info.

ANYTIME you do not trust a merchant or product, make sure you use a "one-time use only" credit card number generated by your credit card company if possible. In this case, you would make it for $1.95 good for the minimum amount of time (usually 2 months). That way, the company can ONLY charge $1.95 and no more, ever again, even if you do not return the product. That's the scam, that you must return their stupid little tube of "whitener" (worth about 5 cents) within 14 days after you receive it in order to NOT be charged the $87 they claim it is worth. If you don't return it, you will automatically be charge the $87---BUT NOT IF YOU USED THE ONE-TIME USE ONLY feature of your credit card. Discover has it. VISA with some banks like Bank of America has it. We use it anytime we're dealing with a new company or someone we're not sure about. Peace of mind.

Yes. It is a scam. Be aware what you order. They will subscribe you for tons of other promotion products with your order - thanks for automatic subscriptions. And, will charge you crazy. I initially canceled two different memberships I never knew about and thought I did cancel them all since I asked to do. But, guess what? I was charged again with $87.62 for the trial. One small stick of whitening cost you nearly $90!!!! When I called again, now they told me that I have to return the trial to them to my money back. I sent it back three days ago, and waiting for their refund. I will ask my credit card company to charge it back next week. Wanna put yourself in a trouble, order it.

This is a SCAM! They make you think you are getting a $1.95 trial size, when in reality, they say it is a months supply and taht's why I was charged the $87.62.

I have had the same exact experience with the Dazzle Smile as all the people above. My credit card company contacted me over the weekend to tell me there were some suspicious charges to my card.

After learning about the charges I tried calling the numbers they gave me to cancel my so called "memberships" and was on hold for 15 minutes. I tried calling several times with no success. I finally reached them this morning and was told I had to return the $1.95 "Trial" before I could get my money back. I was told the Terms and Conditions were in RED on the order page...It Was NOT!!! I even asked for the website that said that and the one given did not have this info at the top of the page as claimed.

My credit card company says they are very familiar with this company and is already disputing the charges for me.

What a nightmare! People and companies like this make it very hard to trust anyone any more!

I also ordered the Purley White product for the same trial price and they are doing the same thing to me.

Buyer Beware!!

I don't have to tell anyone reading this that this outfit is a scam, but what I
wanted to add to the discussion is that having a NEW credit card issued under your existing account DOES NO GOOD. In essence you haven't done a thing. You have to completely cancel your account with that bank and start a new account from scratch, merely cancelling your current card and having a new one issued does nothing and here is why.

A merchant, but not an individual, can continue to charge your new credit card (with a completely different number than your old one) as long as it is still on the same account as the old one. This is done to allow merchants to charge monthly recurring charges to someone's account even if the number on the card changes, due to loss or theft for instance.

Just remember that cancelling an account and cancelling a card are two entirely different things. If you merely change the card number your new
card will still have all your credit history from the old card which is a good thing for most people. You wouldn't want to lose years of faithfully paying
your credit card on time just because you changed the card number.

Cancelling the account CLOSES OUT THAT ACCOUNT as well as it's payment history. You then need to open a brand new account and start your payment history over again to completely be sure of not getting more charges.

Another tip is to call your credit card company as soon as possible and dispute any charges as well as any future ones. Once the credit card company has you on record as disputing a claim, most times future charges
will not be a problem, dispite what dazzle white/smile says.

I had put an order in for the trial for Dazzle Smile on Oct. 6. My husband told me that there was a debit of $1.97, .99, and then $1.00 toward our bank account. I looked back on the order and it stated that I was to be charged only $1.95 for the trial. I called the Dazzle White Company and was told their system was down and I was to call in an hour. I went on-line and decided to go through the chat system. I was told that my card was only charged for $1.95 and that there were no other charges. After the trial period, I was told my card would be charged $87.92. I typed back and said I wanted to cancel my subscription and then was told that I would have to call the customer service department and they would take care of the cancellation and the return of the product. I started to suspect that something just wasn't right, so I called my bank and had them cancel my debit card immediately. That is the only way to stop these charges from being made toward your card. I then went on-line and typed in Healthclns, and was shocked to see the listings of the scams going on with these companies. My husband told me that if a product is advertiised for a ridiculous low price than consider it a scam. I never felt so embarrassed in my life especially at the age of 54. This is one lesson I have learned very well and will never repeat this mistake again. I was fortunate enough to find out early about these companies or else I would have been out of much more money. My husband gave me a site to go on and download a program that tells you whether the site you get into is safe or not. It is www.mywot.com. I hope this helps everyone out there who has been burned by these scam companies.

Sincerely,

Sharon
