Rip Off

Their "free trial" offer is a rip off. I ordered it online, received the "free" package, but hadn't had a chance to try it due to a family death. When my credit card arrived, I had been charged $69.99 and another $54.95 fo a second order that I received and did not order. I called their toll free number, reached a person whom I could not understand - I did get the message that I could not return the merchandise and they would not refund any money. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and will pursue. My point: DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Re: Rip Off

Company referred to is Whitening Now. I cancelled when I was gilled $60.00 and $54.95 and was told that I could not return the merchandise or get a refund. The matter was reported to my credit card and I'm awaiting their response.

Re: Rip Off

Mermaid,

If you ever order anything online again, make sure to check out the terms and conditions. Because since it's a "free trial" it's just free for the trial period. To actually get it for free, you have to cancel within whatever period they set.

I'm glad you got it cancelled though. Good luck in the future.

Re: Rip Off

Most of these companies prey on people who do not know better nor read the entire instructions.  The trial period is very short and begins on the day the order is placed.  It takes about 5 days before one receives the trial package.
I went to their website on a weekend to cancel my subscription-that's actually what you are siging up for-a monthly subscription and the website advised it could not find my info.  It advised that I would receive an email from Customer Service who would arrange for the subscription cancellation.  It never came.  I called them the 2nd business day after and was told it was now after my trial period.  I was advised I was too late and there was nothing they would do.  I was out $85.  When I threatened to contact my State Att'y General's office they then advised the best they could do was offer a $35 refund.
The company I dealt with was Easy White.  My advice - stay away from them all.

Re: Rip Off

Well at least you got $35 back with your threat....  I threatened that and even more and they didn't bugg....  maybe it has to do with that I'm a girl and they think they can walk all over us....  I hope they get shutdown - but I'm sure not....  They have it figured out!
