Why the teeth whitening strips do not always work.

I found some info on the internet about teeth whitening strips, this is what they say.

Teeth whitening strips usually consist a strip for the upper teeth and a strip for your lower teeth. The disadvantage of whitening strips is that the producer of whitening strips is assumed that your teeth are flat. But are your teeth completely flat? Of course not! Naturally teeth have small cracks. With the whitening strips you can not bleach those small cracks. There is also always a small space between your teeth. With the whitening strips you can not bleach between those small spaces. If you really want to bleach your teeth with whitening strips, we recommend you to use the Crest White Stips.

It really depends on the stain.  Whitening strips often have very good results removing more superficial staining, but if a stain is set more deeply into the tooth (antibiotic stains, for example), they won’t help.  Whitening in general won’t work on veneers, so if you’ve had cosmetic dental work done in the past, whitening of any kind is usually discouraged - you don’t want some of your teeth to be whitened without the rest; it’d just call attention to them.

An uneven whitening of the teeth is a major problem with the whitening strip method. That is why dentists always recommend the even placement of bleaching gel across your teeth using a carefully constructed bleaching tray. These can be made by your dentist, and when combined with a proper take home teeth whitening kit eg Colgate Visible White, Designer White Advance, Pola Zing and Poladay products, they provide a safe and easy method to whiten your teeth at home.

Now you can easily  construct  bleaching trays from materials included in the kits, or purchased separately. It is easy to find the above dentist-brand teeth whitening kits online. Just Google them.

Yup if you expect extreme white then it is not going to happen. It will change little bit shade of your teeth.

It completely depends on the level of damage caused to your teeth if it is damaged badly then it's not going to do a miracle for you.

I agree with what everyone have said. Whitening strips works depends on the the situation of your teeth, if it is highly discolored, then, it won't really work and I guess i is time for you to seek the help of your dentist.
