Crest 3D White Whitestrips Vivid are the entry-point into multi-day whitening with the Crest line. Advertised for users that are "new to whitening," they feature foam whitening strips with a milder 9% hydrogen peroxide gel (other formulations come in at 10% hydrogen peroxide). Users are directed to apply them once a day for 30 minutes for 10 days. They're also the least expensive of the Crest 3D multi-day whitening products.
Price is the clear advantage here.
While we do hear about sensitivity with this product, 62% of our readers recommend it. Listen to Jan from Glendale, "Only on day 2 of the Vivids and I can see the difference in color. First time user, but I am impressed. Started them the day I had a cleaning from the dentist so I could note any difference in color to start with. First day they slipped, but my teeth were wet from brushing. Today I dried them a bit and absolutely no sliding. My dentist office suggested I use Sensodine prior to using so there is no sensitivity on my gums. That seems to work."
Is it available at most grocery and drug stores. It can also be found at select online retailers.
Works as advertised! From Sarah in Mooresville, NC, "On my second day and I already see a difference. No sensitivity for me at all. Strips are long enough and adhere just fine."

Im on my second day of these and my teeth feel like they are melting off my gums. When i have them on i have no pain but afterwards it hurts so much. I guess no pain no gain. I just wish the pain wasnt so painful. My teeth are in pain right now. D:

there are hundreds of products that all claim to give you whiter teeth in a very short time. But results can range from impressive to disappointing, or even non-existent (if you’ve selected a fraudulent product). Teeth Whitening Reviews is a completely independent organisation, devoted to allowing you to read and post unbiased, unedited reviews of teeth whitening systems and make the right choices for you.

Noticed a difference in two applications - stays in place much better than classic ones did. These however do make my teeth very sensitive but the pain is worth the gain. Comparing to more expensive whitening kits the only downside is the fact they do not cover all of my upper or lower teeth (I have a large smile) but could use two on top & bottom. I will update after day 14.

The strips are ok. I did notice my teeth getting a little whiter and brighter. I am only on my 4th day. I have NOT experienced any pain or tooth sensitivity. I may spend a little more $$$ and try the advanced, vivid strips.

They seemed to work well enough after the first couple of days, made my teeth a teeny bit noticing whiter. Put on the strips again last night around 11PM, and removed them just fine. 6 hours later wake up to the extreme pain in all my teeth. Would be less painful to just rip them all out. I have work in 6 hours and I've only had 4 hours of sleep and the pain killers arent working. Never using product again.

In highschool (I would have been a sophomore in highschool about 8 years ago) I used Crest Whitening strips. I feel like I did the full length of time and used all of the product and don't remember having much sensitivity at all. I bought the Crest "Vivid" product and used them for the 30 minutes the night before last starting at around 11PM. My teeth were sensitive pretty much until like 6 or so the next day! Aye yi yi! Sensitive to where I don't know if I could go to work and function with my teeth feeling like they were (Fortunately I did not work yesterday). I want to use this product, because I remember it whitened my teeth awesomely before! I don't know if they have upped the peroxide amount since several years ago, but youch! Anyone have information about the old product and their newer products? Maybe what I used in highschool was called Crest Whitestrips Classic. Anyways, these strips will probably whiten your teeth amazingly, but watch out! They may react with your teeth negatively and leave them sensitive (apparently, though, some people are having no problems with pain at all!)

I have never had a problem with my teeth hurting befor. This pain is defently not worth it. I do not recommend this to anyone exept people who enjoy serious pain.

haven't tried these strips yet but it took me 30 minutes to get through the packaging. The plastic is like cutting through fiber glass. then, once you get the actual product out it has more plastic. I don't care if this product works and can't believe I had to go through all that.

My review for the "2 hour express" version (that site doesn't accept any reviews anymore)
If I had read these reviews about "terrible pains", I would have never have tried the Crest 3 D Whitestrips 2 hour express. But as I never read the reviews, I bought and tried them. The result? Nice whiter teeth and no pain at all.
I bought them because my granddaughter told me that it is a great product. (seeing her beautiful white teeth I had to agree). She, by the way, did not have any pain at all either.
What I mean to say is: Do NOT let the bad reviews stop you from trying this product. Not all cases are the same. Many people do NOT have pain.
Just follow the instructions. Do NOT brush your teeth before and after whitening.
Common sense told me that after using these chemicals on my teeth for two hours, my teeth would NOT appreciate getting attacked afterwards with a toothbrush as well. So I just cleaned my mouth and teeth with plenty of water and my fingertips. I brushed the next morning.
It would be nice if posters with bad experiences would not say: "The pain you WILL endure", but instead warn with a "the pain you MIGHT endure".
Remember we are NOT all the same. And saying "will endure" might scare off posters who might not feel any pain at all if they tried the product.
Most of all: Read the instructions first.
PS. These strips DO stick very well. In fact I had to use my nail and pull very hard.
So if you want quick results: try them!

SMALL strips. Cant figure out why they cheaped out. Ive used them before so I know how short these are. I lean forward because my saliva mixed in with the goup irritates my throat and it makes me cough. Still the best and cheapest (if you get them on sale of course). I will be returning mine because I know some of my teeth will be white whereas others wont because of the short strips. And I dont pay to get half my teeth done. I will be asking the company if they have any available that have full strips for top and bottom. : (

I bought these whitestrips for $30 which is a reasonable price if they do what they advertise. Unfortunately, these strips DO NOT work. I used all the strips on my upper teeth only and there is NO noticeable difference between my upper and bottom teeth. My teeth aren't yellow or stained but a bit dull.
I have used to the class Crest whitestrips in the past and noticed a difference even after ONE use. Don't waste your money on these! Buy the old Crest whitestrips if you can find them or try the Advanced ones instead.
I am in so much pain after using these. My teeth do indeed look a little whiter (I've used them for 4 days now) but my gums are tender and my whole mouth is incredibly sensitive. I can't bite down without hurting.
Be cautious when trying this out. If it feels weird after 2 days, don't let it turn into pain!

I have used crest white strips for years and I love them! I can tell how much whiter my teeth even after just the first use. I usually take a month break from taking them because sometimes they make my bottom teeth extremely sensitive but they're great!

The strips do not stay on my teeth at all. That being said, I feel like they did a satisfactory job at whitening my teeth. The bottom one literally would not stay on and I had to adjust it every 5 minutes. Strange that I saw my teeth get whiter though. Maybe I just want them to work...

I'm new to teeth whitening and I figured that these would be a good starting point, especially because I've had a history of sensitive teeth. I had visibly whiter teeth after only two uses (and the application and procedure were pain-free!), but plateaued around the fifth day - my teeth continued to get "brighter" but not "whiter." It's easy to apply the strips and then sit and watch TV for half an hour, and they stayed in place as long as I didn't talk.
I would recommend to a beginner like myself or to someone looking for a steady, natural way to whiten. I intend on trying Crest's Professional Effects next.

could NEVER keep the bottom strips on my teeth, and like others said, the strips keep moving around on my teeth AFTER i apply them directly with pressure to my teeth. ugh

Yea truthfully I'm using an expired "crest whitestripes classic" and even though there expired they still work like a charm. Because the first time I used them (being a guy) my teeth became to white after the first 8 days leaving me with 6 left over. Now being Nov 17 2010 with expiration date of 25/al/2010 they still kick *ss. So word of advice for guys, buy cheap other wise your teeth will look bleached, and then your a guido.

Does the job. No complaints. The strips are longer than the originals were therefore they reach a couple more additional teeth in the back, which is nice. Ever since I started using WhiteStrips a few years ago, I always get compliments on my teeth.

I bought these from ebay because they were much cheaper than the regular crest whitening strips that i have used in the past and loved. After continually using them and expecting each time that somehow my teeth would be considerable whiter the next time: I was inevitably disappointed. I am now going to try the pro effects having already wasted money, time and energy on these.

I really like this new line of whitening products from Crest! The strips are longer, so they reach further back in your mouth, they still adhere quite well, and they definitely whiten the teeth. When I started using this whitestrips vivid, I used the strips every other day for the first week or two and then moved to once a week to maintain the level of whitening that I wanted. :)
