The iWhite Light Activated Teeth Whitening Kit is a new over-the-counter teeth whitening system. Unlike other take home products that rely on carbamide peroxide and teeth contact time, the iWhite System also integrates an activating light. The product is made by the Belgium based company Remedent. They are the same makers of the popular MetaTray Whitening System. While this product is not yet widely known in the US, it has been doing very well in European countries. At this time, the product is being introduced to the US Market only through specialty online retailers and high-end boutiques and department stores.
The iWhite Lightening System is simple enough to use, and easy to carry. The Light Activated Teeth Whitening Kit contains ready-to-use strips that are inserted into the mouthpiece. The bleaching gel (6% Hydrogen Peroxide) in the strip is activated by light emitted from the mouth piece. If you are a previous braces wearer, the awkward obstruction in your mouth might give you a little deja vu. Nonetheless, the mouthpiece seems to be designed to fit most mouths, and the strip is flimsy and easy to insert. Turn on the light with a button and blueish rays pulsate. The pulsating light catalyses the whitening reaction to offer accelerated whitening results. Also, the unique foam makeup in the strips will ensure close contact to your teeth for deeper whitening.
The mouth piece needs to be worn for twenty minutes. Rather than focusing on not moving your mouth for twenty minutes, it might be easier to do another task while waiting for the time to elapse. When the time is up, discard the strip in the trash and wash out the mouthpiece. Surprisingly, the liquid from the strip is not ill-tasting and is somewhat reminiscent of diluted gum or toothpaste, with a minty aftertaste.
You should see results after 5 days of use with this product.
Tip: Be sure to position the strip to cover as much of your teeth as possible, otherwise it might only be concentrated on the lower portions of the anterior/posterior teeth or vice versa.
There are two schools of thought on this. One says that the lights provide a focal point for the patient during the bleach application process and that it is psychological (provide excitement to an otherwise mundane procedure). The other says that tooth bleaching is actually more effective with the use of lights. We have written an article on this, titled The Controversy: Are bleaching lights necessary in professional laser teeth whitening treatments?
Each package contains one 3-volt light activiated tray and 10 disposable whitening foam strips.

Purchased product on line on 11/16/16 for $46.85 and was charged another $9.95 that same day, shipping was suppose to be free. I used the product for
over 3 weeks according to directions and usage - with no teeth color change at all, using their enclosed color chart.
Beware of hidden subscription charge - $8.95 on 11/29/2016, $1.95 on 12/17/16 for (other services), $1.95 on 12/26/16 for subscription?), $1.95 1/2/17 for (other services)? I finally found their phone number 844-548-5652 with my dispute.

Worked better than Crest White strips. And no sensitivity issues. My light is still going strong - I wish they sold films separately as refills. I have a small mouth and the light unit fit fine in my mouth. I am going to do this again in 6 months. I'll take before and after pics this time.

I have tried absolutely every kind of over the counter whitening system, and nothing really worked that great - Whitestrips left my teeth pulsing with pain over night, and while they did go a shade or two whiter - it wasn't worth the pain in my teeth. I white was amazing, I bought it at CVS about a year and a half ago, I went to refills, and alas, they no longer sell it! Can someone please tell me where in the US I can buy this again without having to go to amazon?
Thanks!

I saw this in the grocery store and thought I'd try it out. I was anxious to compare it to the Crest White Strips, especially since it took less time in each treatment and only required 5 total, versus 10.
I thought it worked pretty well, honestly. I am currently doing some additional White Strips to see if they can be whiter, but I did think the iWhite worked nicely.
The problem: The obnoxiously large light that goes in your mouth is difficult to keep in place and is not flexible enough. It hurt my teeth and it seemed to be at war with my retainer I use in my sleep as to where my teeth were being moved. I would wake up to a bit of soreness in my mouth, but I suppose that is just how my teeth are. Also, the edges of the iWhite light mouth guard were sharp enough to actually slice open the edges of my mouth. I had to sleep with Neosporin on my lips each night due to this.
All in all, I think Crest White Strips are a better product, but iWhite does in fact whiten your teeth.

Iwhite was bought for me and I thought it wouldn't work, But This product is the best. First time use saw two shades difference in the first day. I wish I did the before and after pictures. You would be impressed. And I wish I bought two of these I'd give this out as gift. It would be practical. And put to good use. The comments left about those whom had no success I don't know maybe the really didn't need theirs to be whitened or Maybe they did something incorrect. Or maybe they have parcials or the enamal is far gone on the teeth that they can't be saved. I don't know but, if I'd look at the bad vs the good in comments I'd say. Their are more good comments then Bad. And including myself I just can't believe how this worked the greatest as it did. I thought Oh another gimmic. It really works. I'm just in Awww.

AWESOME! I drink caffeine, smoke and took some meds as a child that caused tooth discoloration .... so I have tried ALOT of products. Not wanting to wait for results, I found that this product gave me results in just the first 2 treatments. WOW! So now, I cannot wait to see how bright white my teeth are upon the 5th treatment!

I bought this kit on clearance at CVS. I've only used it on my upper teeth, leaving 5 extra strips from the bottom. So far I've used it for 6 days and there is no difference between my upper teeth (whitened) and lower teeth (not using the whitener). My teeth are fairly white to start with so maybe people with more staining see more significant results. I find just rinsing my mouth with an OTC peroxide/water solution, an oral debrider, yields as good results as any whitener system, and I've tried it all.

I bought this at the Grocery store and pretty much fell in love.
PROS: It really did whiten my teeth, after just 2 of the 5 treatments I noticed the respectable difference. It left my mouth feeling clean. (PS - I only bought the refill tray/strips- not the actual light-up mouthpiece)
CONS: Drooling for 4 minutes per day isn't the best.
OVERALL: Good job whitening my teeth, doesn't taste bad and price-wise is about the same as any other over the counter whitening products.
I prefer strips only to minimize drooling and inconvenience. If Iwhite came out with strips I would be all over them!!

i really like this product, i have only whitened twice now and i can already see a difference. its not night and day or anything, but there is a difference. it is a long time to have to keep it in your mouth, but only five days, ive tried many other products and the other ways have been way more messy and taste worse sitting in my mouth. i would much rather use this product any day. <3.

I really am glad I purchased and used this product! It was very clean and easy, worked well, etc... The results were very noticeable to me, but not professional whitening quality (but I wasn't expecting professional quality - if you want that, you need to see a professional!) Overall I am very happy with this product. Just want to warn people that just after you use it, some will notice some light white spots on their teeth - this is caused by tooth dehydration and will go away within 24 hours. Also, I had some gum inflammation in the lower half of my mouth (a common side effect of peroxide). This also went away quickly (after 2 or so days).

I wanted to whiten my teeth because I had just gotten my braces off and the color of my teeth wasn't as white as I would have liked it to be. I tried iWhite and I am very very happy with the results. I noticed a change in the color of my teeth after one use. My teeth looked naturally white and felt very clean. The mouth piece isn't as bad as people claim. If you have had braces, it's nothing! I found the best time to whiten was while cleaning, watching TV, or taking a bath. I highly recommend this product and nothing else.

This provide a whiter smile, but is not worth the money, when Crest Whitestips are much more convienient, and produce a superior white.
This kit for one is attractive looking, and thats about it. I highly doubt that the light anything since the basic active ingredient is benzol peroxide, which is what all other products use.
Lastly, the mouthpiece is extremely uncomfortable, and must remain in your mouth for 20 mins. So basically you have to be at home when using this, and not talk for 20 mins.
I have tried several products out there and The Crest White Strips Premium are the best surprisingly, they gradually whiten your teeth within a week, and you can go about your normal activities.

OMG, It works SO GOOD, absolutely the BEST over the counter teeth whitening product out there! On the second day I had seen my teeth a couple of shades whiter, I guess it just doesn't work for some people! I would definatley recommend this product to everyone! Just give it a try! I purchased mine from ebid.net, I had never heard of it before! The best purchase I have made online in a long time. I have even ordered refills for my next application! and just ordered my husband a kit! (Which by the way, how often should it be used?) I am going to use it every 3 months, I drink alot of starbucks venti white chocolate mocha, (Yes, I'm Addicted to the stuff), sweet tea, & smoke. GREAT PRODUCT, I LOVED IT : )

I used this product last week. I am really dissapointed, as my teath are just as yellow as before.
I don't understand the above 2 reviews, who state that it gives great whitening results. I finished the full 5 days, and made sure that i used it properly, according to the prescription.
If you want to waste 50€ (that's what i paid in the local pharmacy...), then go ahead and buy this product.
I was not so satisfied with this product...The strip is not long enough to sit on all of your front teeth, just the front 4 or 5. It does not stay in place either, and I several times had to take the tray out to spit the large amount of saliva it had made my mouth produce. My teeth are already white, i was hoping for a much brighter white...which I did not get after the full 5 sessions per arch. And to me, 40 minutes a day with that thing in my mouth was too much (20 minutes each arch). I bought the kit with the toothpaste, touch-up pen (which I still have not used), and extra 10 strips, which I am going to let my husband use. He has much more yellow teeth, so we'll see how it works for him. I could tell a difference in the whitening, but not too much. I'd go for something a little more controllable next time.
I really like this product, it's easy, you just buy it for 50 € in the pharmacy and it makes my teeth naturally white again. Instead of paying lots of money to the dentist, I use iWhite around 2-3 times a year! I also like the toothpaste very much! I had the problems with the saliva as well in the beginning, but I've noticed that when you keep your tongue very still, it's not a problem anymore!
product doesn't work to whiten but, does leave teeth clean after each application. my teeth are still yellow and everyone i ask tells me they look the same ... no change! don't waste your time and money!!!
this product did not change the color of my teeth one bit, although i think maybe it was due to excessive salivating and on the last treatment the light stop working Grrrrr! i feel i wasted my money !
Just found this in the aisles of my local drugstore. It was a bit expensive, but compared to the dentist, definitely gave results as advertised. I recommend this product over all other "strips" (yuck!) The only thing is I wish I had two so I could whiten my upper and lowers at the same time.
