Pola Office + is a chemically activated in-office teeth whitening system made by the Australian company SDI. The company has introduced the system to markets in North America, Europe, Australia, and South America. Pola Office + replaced its older predecessor Pola Office. Its bleaching gel now contains 37.5% hydrogen peroxide.
SDI claims that Pola Office + is the world’s fastest in-office teeth whitening system. While most in-office whitening procedures take about an hour, pola office + takes 25 minutes! The only other in-office system that comes close to this is the Sapphire Teeth Whitening System.
Some users may experience temporary sensitivity, but this usually subsides several hours after the procedure. Pola Office + contains potassium nitrate and uses a neutral pH bleach to help inhibit sensitivity. In addition, the short bleaching time means you are much less likely to experience sensitivity.
The Pola Office + procedure can only be done at a dental office.
This is a relatively new teeth whitening system so we are unsure about the kind of whitening results one would achieve. We are very curious to know what patients and dentists think of the system. Please post your experience below.

I tried this product at my dentist and found it not worth the money and effort

I read some of the reviews before I had the procedure done and it made me more than a little nervous to have it done. But, I had this procedure done yesterday. Coffee drinker and smoker for years and the results were amazing! The Dental Assistant that did the procedure was great. She explained everything and took extreme care in the preparation. Even though I was warned that there could be some issues and sensitivity, I had none. Although, I think the product is good, I would imagine that the person doing the procedure is at least as important as the product.

I was a demo for this product at my office and I must say it barely made a difference. I feel bad for patients who would have to pay the full $600 price for this and not having to see any major results...

This product is horrible. My teeth look worse than before. Very embarrassing really. And the pain was substantial. I wish I would have NEVER gotten this done. After 5 days my teeth were so yellow and feel gritty and food stick to them. DON'T USE THIS!

I had fantastic results with the in dental chair Pola office plus newer system. It was so fast and was all over in 30minutes. I had some tiny bleached areas of gum afterwards, but it went away after about 20 mins or so. My teeth were a little sensitive for a couple of days but nothing major, and they warned me of this anyway. Definitely have much whiter teeth now and I highly recommend it!

I used the pola whitening system in my dentists surgery in Knox , I found both the product and procedure expensive and I must add time consuming as well .
I did not obtain the desired results despite being informed that I was a candidate .
I have since used another suppliers product and I am very happy .

First time I've done an in office teeth whitening so have nothing to compare it to but no realy noticable difference. I saw several said 4 - 8 min. treatments but they only offered the 3 8-minutes. But seriously doubt I could have stood any longer. Now Im glad I didnt for the lousy results I got! I wish I would have read the review board before doing this. My dentist reduced the price to $150 as it was orgi. $375.... he's a fair guy and realized I didnt get any results.... do not do this peopl;e!!

Just Completed four Polar whitening sessions . So not worth the time or money. I've achieved the same results using crest whitestripes! I would NEVER do this again and obviously not recommend it. I feel like I was bamboozled! If you're wanting whiter teeth, pick up a box of crest whitstripes from your local pharmacy.

I am a hygienist and had this procedure done today for a lunch and learn. The Rep. was great very knowledgable. The reason I was the one to do it, was it was to whiten with NO sensitivity. Oh my I have pretty severe sensitivity and I tried desenisitizing gel, I have taken motrin, my teeth are very sens. I know whenever I do any whiteing my teeth are sens. I did get 2 shades whiter but my question is not sure if it is worth it .............I was only able to stand 3 applications could not do the 4th one way too sens.

I JUST HAD THE POLA WHITENING DONE ABOUT AN HOUR AGO IN THE OFFICE. ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE ALTHOUGH IT MAY BE TO EARLY TO TELL BUT I SEE NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL AND I SUFFERED THROUGH ALL 4 8MINUTE TREATMENTS. MY GUMS ARE BURNT IN CERTAIN AREAS AND THERES A SHARP PAIN OCCURING EVERY 2 MINUTES IN MY TEETH. GIVING BIRTH DIDNT HURT THIS BAD. I PAID $149 ONLY BECAUSE I PURCHASED A COUPON ON GROUPON. NOT WORTH A DIME AND EXTREMELY PAINFULL IM MORE UPSET THAT IM GOING THROUGH THIS PAIN VS THE WASTE OF MONEY!!!

I wouldnt spend the money for it. I picked up a coupon for daily deals in Houston and got it for $120. My teeth honestly barely look any different. Definitely not what is on the website for the dentist. I will never use opt for this product again.

It's a waste of money, i can't even tell a difference it had no effect whatsoever. The pain and sensitivity is unbearable, im very dissappointed and certainly not worth the pain. I regret it and feel ripped off.

I just had the in-office pola whitening today. What a waste of money. I can't even tell the difference in whiteness! The gel burned the back lower gums on both sides. It has been 7 hours and my teeth are still aching! I hated it and the money, spent for nothing!

Sensitivity is almost unbearable. Constant aching and I think they must have gotten the product on my lower gums because it looks burned in places. I have sharp, piercing nerve pain frequently that runs all the way down into my neck. I hope it has not caused permanent damage. My teeth were fairly white to begin with so I don't notice much of a difference and definitely not enough to be worth the pain I'm experiencing.

Quick & Easy - much easier to take sitting in the chair for 30 minutes as opposed to 45 minutes to an hour some of the other in-office treatmets take. Results were great - very happy!

I am a dental hygienist and have tried many in office and take home whitening systems. But I have never experienced such intense sensitivity! It feels like I am biting on aluminum foil and there is no relief! It has been 5 hours since my treatment and It's still hurting! I have tried desensitizing gel, and Fluoridex to relieve the sensitivity but nothing has helped :( Lets just say I will never recomend this to my patients!!

I have used the Rembrandt, Zoom, Zoom 2, Zoom Advanced Power, Biolase and Bright Smile in-office systems. This is the best of the bunch. If you do your research, you will find that the light is completely unnecessary for in-office whitening, and unless a shield is placed very well to protect the lips, UV sunburn can result from the light source.
This bleach is quick, predictable, and as mentioned by someone before, when combined with Pola at home trays can produce fantastic results. We often have very very nice results without the need for trays.
Note: the Pola system bleach strength may be confusing if you are comparing to other bleaching systems. Pola uses Hydrogen Peroxide. Most other systems use Carbamide Peroxide - which converts to hydrogen peroxide in the presence of moisture. We have had better results using the Pola hydrogen peroxide bleach for both in-office and at-home bleaching.

My lips were burned by the peroxide to the point that they are swollen. The dentist used a rubber shield that did not fit and kept falling off. She stated that it was because my mouth is so small! I am 5'3" woman and weight 120 lbs so my mouth is in proportion. Yes, the teeth are whiter with the bottom teeth showing the most improvement but the agony I am going through with the swollen, painful red mouth is not worth it. Around 5 years ago I had Brite Smile procedure that was not painful but did not produce the desired result.

Not worth the money, you are better off getting whitening strips from the grocery store. My results were almost un-noticeable. But I will at least say my teeth dont hurt like some of the other procedures.

I am a dentist, have used this system on patients recently. Results are poor but it's easy to use. I much prefer the custom fitted tray systems, the results are much better, more predictable and it makes it easy for the patient tom maintain the whitening.
