I had the zoom whitening yesterday! I got "zingers" in my first 15 minute session. These are very painful. I lasted half way through the 3rd 15 minute session then had to stop as my teeth were getting extremely sensitive. I got more Zingers after the treatment, and have taken pain killers every 6 hours. Due to stopping the treatment earlier, i dont feel i have the best results, therefore i'm going to bleach at home aswell! Dont think £300 was worth it :-(

I won a Zoom Whitening treatment valued at $699.00 through a charity raffle. I went today and the staff was very nice. They did not explain anything at all or tell me there would be any pain and since it was basically free I did not want to complain. The pain started shortly after the fourth 15 minute session and is so intense it makes my eyes tear up. The zingers come out of no where and just slam into your teeth like a shock. I had no clue there would be any pain at all involved. I am appreciative for the procedure and my teeth look great. I have a super high pain tolerance but this pain is beating me up pretty badly.

I did the Zoom teeth whitening yesterday. It was four 15 minutes sessions. The first 2 sessions were pain free. The last 2, had occasional zinging pain. The worse part came when I left the office. The pain was so intense I almost had to pull my car over!!! The zinging pain is like nothing I have ever experienced (and I have had 2 kids w/o an Epidiral)!!! It feels like your tooth is being electrocuted!!!! The results were wonderful but the PAIN was too severe!! I will NEVER do this again and DO NOT recommend the Zoom Whitening System!!!!!!!!!!!!

90 minutes to complete. No pain of any significance. I suspect that people who complain of severe pain have a much different perception of pain. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The weirdest thing about the procedure is having your mouth held open for 90 minutes with all that stuffing to protect the gum tissue from the lamp exposure.

I TOOK 1200 MG OF IBUPROFEN DIDNT HELP THE PAIN AT ALL. TODAY MY TEETH ARE STILL SENSITIVE BUT THE HORRIBLE PAIN HAS GONE AWAY. MY SMILE LOOKS FANTASTIC! WOULD DO IT AGIAN IN A HEART BEAT

Just had it done today and the results are beautiful....I truly have Pearly Whites!!! I am experiencing sharp shooting pain and sensitivity but I took a Vicodin which eased it up. I was fortunate enough that my husband had a left over prescription otherwise I would have demanded that the dentist write me a prescription. We will see where the pain is tomorrow...may take the Vicodin for another day or two if needed. Well worth it and I will use the trays to maintain for years to come. I will also drink my coffee warm with a straw from here on out.

Just had it done, and me being completely oblivious to any pain being involved, is having the shock of my life!!! I thought it was some sensitivity that I would experience during and after... my goodness, this pain is unbearable. My whole body was so tensed up during the treatment, that by the end of it, I was completley stiff and aching! However that was nothing compared to those 'ZINGERS'!!!! And now after 1 hour, I am still in agony and don't even dare open my mouth to speak or check to see how white my teeth have gone. I so regret this!!!

I got my Zoom treatment this afternoon around 5:00pm and its not 10:00pm. While I was in the first 15 min session I felt a horrible zinger in my tooth and another in another tooth. The second session my dentist applied something on my gums and we went for round 2 everything was fine, some slight zingers but I was able to handle it. I made it all the way through the 4th session. I feel some slight zingers here n there but that is really it. However, my teeth do not look that much whiter!! I thought my teeth where going to be sparkling white and they are not at all! Actually if you look at them really close you can see that they are spotted. Some spots are whiter than others. I feel that my teeth should of been a lot whiter!

Had this done today. Before the treatment, the dentist said he expected a good result based on the color of my teeth. He said that he usually only does 2 to 3 times 15 minutes. After 2 15 minute sessions, he decided I was done. I looked in the mirror and was not impressed. No one in my family could tell a difference at all. My teeth look no whiter at all, but have little blotches on them now if you look closely. Lovely. What a waste of money.

I almost didn't get it done because of the reviews here, but I took Advil prior and hoped for the best. It didn't hurt AT all I had 3 sessions of 15 minutes and love the results. I've had a couple light zingers since but they will go away tomorrow. A bright smile is worth it. I also brought my ipod and earphones and tried to zone out while sitting there it helps. I went to Contemporary Dentistry in Gilbert they were fast and good.

I did it yesterday. I experienced no pain whatsoever. I'm really surprised. I was bracing for it. My dentist warned me that two days of painful sensitive teeth was a virtual certainty. So much for that. I'm very pleasantly surprised.

Oh, also, the teeth look fantastic.

A high pain threshold is a gimmick when it comes to this. I read the past reviews and felt mighty enough to give it a try. Now I sit and plead to those who think of doing the same to NOT go. These zingers are beyond bearable if you have normally sensitive teeth. And thinking painkillers and fluoride washes help is a waste of time. Time is the only cure, and time goes by extremely slow when experiencing zingers. I figured the best thing I could do is prevent others from going through this. Overall, my teeth are whiter, but I will never go back or recommend it.

Not much pain, a few zingers after procedure but the day after my teeth look very uneven, like the white has been painted on! The top half of my top teeth are whiter than bottom and uneven. Can anyone help with this or experienced the same? Many Thanks

Just got home from my Zoom appointment. I did a load of online research and read many reports of "zinger" pain being too intense. I didn't have to mention this to my dentist during the consultation - they told me all about it. The key was that it is different for everyone. All their staff were required to have the procedure done - so they can share in the experience. So you might want to ask that of your dentist to get an educated feeling on their experience.

I went through all four 15 minute sessions. I had mild pain during the second and third session. The fourth was fine until about 3 minutes to go and I suddenly felt like I had been hit in the mouth. The intense pain of a "zinger" lasted five or six seconds. The lingering pain lasted about 20 seconds - long enough for another one to hit and start the process all over. The specialist stayed in the room with me during the last 15 minute session - which is helpful.

I've been home for about 3 hours and the pain has lessened to an occasional mild hurt. Something that I had read in another review, has helped TREMENDOUSLY. Keep your mouth closed and do not let air run past your teeth. The moment I do, I get pain. Also keep your teeth from hitting each other if at all possible.

I've done a great job staining my teeth over the past 20 years. The change in my color is truly amazing. I highly recommend this to anyone - as long as you understand, its going to hurt for a day or two, but your new smile will endure that.

I had the Zoom procedure done this morning. I have extremely sensitive teeth (I cannot even have a cleaning at the dentist's office without having a numbing topical applied....and even then i struggle). But this procedure was a lot less painful than i expected. My dentist warned me that I'd have some sensitivity, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. I had 4 15 min sessions, and during the first I had a bad "zinger" on one tooth....the hygienist realized that the bleach had leaked to my gum on that one tooth, applied some more of the gel to my gums to protect them and I was totally fine for the remaining 3 procedures. I have now been out for several hours and although my teeth are a little sensitive, it's not any worse than before the procedure (e.g., when i have cold things like ice cream, they're in significant pain). My teeth are a shade whiter (i started with pretty white teeth) and i am happy with the outcome. Looking forward to seeing how my fiance's teeth look when he comes home from his Zoom procedure!

Went to the dentist, was told that the system would cause mild discomfort or general sensitivity. I've never EVER had sensitive teeth, so he said "oh, you'll be fine". I suddenly got really sharp stabbing pain in one tooth during the first 15 minute treatment. The dentist said, "oh yeah zingers can happen but it shouldn't be bad". Did the other 3 sessions without the light and had to end the last one early because I was nearly crying in pain. The zingers spread to 2 other teeth and were getting worse. The dentist said "well I guess that's the price you pay for beauty" and left. 1) he was the biggest douchebag ever. 2) Hours later, I'm still in tons of pain and advil is doing NOTHING!!. 3) after all this, my teeth only went up about 3 shades (probably because I couldn't use the light).

I will never do this again, and will not recommend to anyone.

My first experience of Zoom whitening was two weeks ago when I saw a special offer for Zoom at my local dentist so I had myself booked in and went for the procedure the next day. After two 15 minute sessions I had to stop as it was far too painful and I had very strong 'zingers' in my teeth which were alarmingly painful and so my dentist decided to stop. He sent me home with some sensodyne toothpaste and instructions for me to come back two weeks later. So today I went back. He used a thicker gum shield and used a weaker solution which was 35% compared to the 40% used last time, and for 9-10 minute cycles. Again I felt the zingers, and after the forth cycle I felt I couldn't take anymore but he was happy with the results. I have noticed my teeth are mildly patchy with some parts of my tooth are whiter than others which is a little irritating but ho hum. So I had the procedure at 2pm and now it is 10pm and the pain in my mouth is excruciating. I have taken plenty of painkillers (probably too many), have repeatedly rubbed sensodyne on my teeth and I'm still nearly in tears. All together, I don't know if I would do it again, but the results are reasonably impressive and lots of people have commented on my sparkling set of teeth. Worth it....hmmm.. yes.

Hi everyone,
I had my zoom treatment this afternoon at 1pm it's now 9.30pm and the pain is killing me ! It's actually getting worst rather than better ! I have taken 4 panadine forte tablets, the strongest pain killers, and it has seriously done nothing ! The results are great, my teeth look fantastic but if I was given the choice I would def not have had it done. I have a very good pain threshold, I have 8 tattoos, had my appendix, wisdom teeth and tonsils out and nothing compares to the pain I have right now. It's like someone getting a knife and stabbing your nerve endings in all ur teeth. I have done heaps of research and the majority of people who get zoom done suffer from extreme pain. I did get through all 4 15min sessions in the one sitting, and only paid 200 cos they had a special on. My advice don't do it !

I had the Zoom procedure this morning. Not usually sensitive in my mouth. I have cavities drilled without Novicaine! I made it through the 1st two 15 minute treatments quick and easy. During the 3rd, at about the 12 minute mark, I started feeling the sensitivity (if only the assistant had not mentioned senitivity, I would not have felt it - sometimes the power of suggestion is too much for me!). I went for the 4th session. Lots of sensitivity with this treatment. The whole process was really relaxing. I fell asleep during the 15 minute treatments! I have sensitivity now, but I believe that cold water to make it worse will make not hurt so bad! I am extremely pleased with my results. My teeth look great! I HIGHLY recommend taking pain relivers before and after treatment. This would have saved me the time it takes for the meds to kick in. I am not a pain sissy, and have been inadverntly hurting myself all of my life! The biggest thing I have an issue with is no coffee for 2 - 3 days! But, the results are TOTALLY and COMPLETELY worth the discomfort.

HOLY SMOKES this HURTS! I should have read the reviews beforehand... if I had known it was this painful I never would have gone. I don't have sensitive teeth, I experienced some sensitivity for about a week last year, used some Sensodyne and it went away right away. I did as I was told, brushed twice daily with sensitivity toothpaste for a week and a half, and used the ACP Sensitivity Gel the night before, PLUS took two extra strength tylenol 45 minutes before the procedure. The procedure itself didn't hurt all that much, besides being quite uncomfortable after the 3rd 15 minute session.

What the dentist DIDN'T warn me about AT ALL are these stupid ZINGERS - the most painful thing I've ever felt! I had one or two right after the procedure, but she said they would go away after a few hours. I got it done at 12pm, it is now 6pm and it's 10x as painful as it was when I left the office.

NEVER AGAIN! My teeth are whiter but I am tearing up from the pain (and I am *not* a crier). I just want to hit something, I'm so frustrated with this pain! 2 more extra strength tylenol + 2 extra strength advil later and it's even WORSE than an hour ago. Will be taking codine before bed if this doesn't ameliorate. :((((

I was offered free Zoom whitening from my dentist a few weeks ago. I had no pain at all, but there was a bleached spot on my gums that freaked me out. The spot disappeared the same day and I grinned every chance I got to show off my new pearly whites. Now it's been about three weeks and I have noticed that my teeth are not as white as they were. When I was flossing yesterday, a small chunk of the dried gel came out. (I only figured this out by the remnants of a minty smell). I figure by the end of the week my teeth will look like they did before the procedure. I definitely won't be paying the high dollar tab others have paid. It was nice while it lasted, but I can't afford several hundred dollars every month.

I am a coffee drinker, so I use whitening systems to help brighten my smile. I do have sensitivity to the point that even white strips cause bad "zingers." So I wanted to try Zoom simply because it's under a doctor's supervision, in case of any pain. Zoom definitely works; however, it was one of the most painful experiences of my life, if not THE most painful. The zingers are just horrible! I had four 15 minute sessions for a total of 60 minutes of exposure. The zingers started in the last few minutes and lasted well into the next day. I was prescribed tylenol 3 to manage the pain, and I took so many that I got sick just from that. It was an apocalyptic three days, let me tell you.

I think I may try again with only 15 minutes of exposure at a time, over the course of a month. I would ask for freezing and a prescription for tylenol 3 if needed. I wouldn't go under the lights for a full hour ever again. The amazing results will keep me going back, though.

After reading the scary comments here I almost didn't do it. I was dreading it! But I trust my dentist so I went ahead. I am thrilled with the results! My teeth are whiter than even the whitest level! I was set to go through 3-15 minute periods. There was enough gel so I was asked if I wanted to finish with a fourth and I did. I had no zingers. The mouth guard got a little warm on my lips but I adjusted over time. I had the procedure at 10 AM and its now 6 PM. I have a tiny bit of sensitivity on the lower center teeth but its hardly anything. I have eaten ice cream and crackers since the appointment. I was sent home with custom trays as well as whitening gel and a relief gel for sensitvity. One thing I did do before the appt was take 2 extra strength Tylenol b/c I was worried. It was great and I recommend it to everyone! I thought it would be bad b/c the Crest White Strips really bother my teeth and I have microcracks in my teeth. This is the best thing I have done in a long time! I paid $600.

I had the ZOOM! done yesterday morning and i am very pleased with the results. My teeth whitened about 10 shades! My teeth are beautiful, but the procedure can get really painful at times. I made it through the first two 15 minute sessions fine. On the third one i started to feel the zingers. Then afterwards was awful! It is now 24 hours later and my teeth are still sensitive! I paid $400 for the procedure and would definitely have it done again :-)

I read the reviews here and almost did not go to the dentist I was afraid it would be painful and not worth it. The procedure was completely painless in the office, my teeth were sore that evening. The whitening is amazing. My husband had even better results. I am so pleased, I will do this again in a few years.

I went to Dr. Fernando Munguia in Upland CA. He teaches at Loma Linda dental school; I am certain his expertise made a big difference.

Had the zoom done today....Here it goes. Initial prep work was the worst i thought, with all the gauze being pushed into the gums and stuff. I had 4 15 minute sessions. 1st through third was ok with only 2 minor zingers. 4th session was ok, but i could feel more sensations in more of my teeth. It wasnt horrible but it wasnt the best......The worst part of it all was several hours after, where i had zingers and tooth sensation. Wasnt comfortable at all. I only paid $250, but i will not have it done again......Now, crest has 2 hour white strips that whiten your teeth pretty well without the zingers/sensations in your teeth...........Save your money!

My dentist is fabulous and the hygentists did all they could but... this is ONE of the most painful experiences I've ever had!! It's been 13 hours and I'm still in pain. I'm taking 800-1600 gr of ibuprofen every 4 hours just to manage the pain.
I couldn't get through the 3rd session and thought I was going to rip my teeth out.... I will never do this again!

Horrible experience.. the procedure went well except into the third season on tooth hot a zig pain..as soon as I got up from the chair the pain kicked in, this is a bunch of crap. I hope this machine gets banned, how can something like this even be approved. My teeth are white hut the pain is unbearable.. I too face birth naturally but this pain in my mouth might be close to that pain. I have healthy teeth and normally not sensitive..but this is the worst mouth pain I've ever had in my life, now its spreading to my jaw as I type this need to do something to take my mind off the pain....DO NOT DO THIS , NOT EVEN IF IT'S FREE!!!!!!!

Had my teeth done with the Zoom 2 system today and all in all a pretty good experience. I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews but can honestly say there was NO PAIN. Absolutely none. I was quite nervous because I do have sensitive teeth (massive pain eating sweets, cold things etc). Had three 20 minute sessions and it was all surprisingly easy. I'm usually one who does have difficulty keeping my mouth open for long periods at the dentist and I have quite a bit of trouble getting fillings. This was comparatively easy - I had a bite guard to keep the tongue and everything where it should be and was able to swallow fairly easily throughout. Wouldn't say I was going to sleep during treatment but not too far off! Fairly happy with the results - had very yellow teeth all my life and while not "Hollywood" white they are much better than they were and apparently about the second top shade of white on the dental chart. As long as you have realistic expectations of the procedure I think most people would be pretty happy with the results.

Had my zoom whitening today on the back of a $750 special deal. Was warned about the side effects etc but never knew how painful it could be. They do 3 x 15 minute sessions of whitening under UV light. The last 2 minutes of my first session was so painful especially on two of my bottom teeth. I had to stop half way through the second session from sheer pain. I had a tattoo done on my ribs last week that hurt less than this.

Im not sure if it was me having very sensitive teeth or if it was applied/done wrong but it was a very painful experience and now in the afters after the procedure i am getting severe pain every few minutes.

If your teeth are at all sensitive I wouldnt get this done especially if your teeth arent yellow prior to the procedure.

First time really doing any type of whitening other than OTC strips. And those "zingers" started on round 2 of the treatment. And the feeling is what I imagine it would be if lightning were to pinpoint and strike right onto and out of the nerve of the tooth or teeth!!!! My head was rattling from the pain. I like the whiteness. It's what I had hoped for. But this pain is a bit much for me. 6 hrs out of treatment, I had taken Advil before and just after, a couple hrs later took half a Vicodin and stepped back down to Motrin 600. Like the color of my teeth, but no more whitening in my future...

I have never had the Zoom procedure done but I have had the bleaching trays and have used Crest white strips. If you want to find out how your teeth will react to Zoom then save yourself some grief and buy the Crest whitestrips first (the expensive ones that seal onto your teeth, about $50). If after 30 minutes your teeth feel sensitive then you are NOT a candidate for Zoom. I had major sensitivity with the bleaching trays and minor sensitivity with Whitestrips so I know for a fact I could never tolerate Zoom.

I had the Zoom whitening done a few months ago after a cleaning and polishing. I brushed with sensitivity toothpaste for 2 weeks prior to the whitening. Prep work takes a long time. If you have a sensitive gag reflex, it might be a problem for you. At least 30 minutes, I had someone putting things in my mouth and the stuffing of the gauze was the worst part for me in the prep. I made it through all the sessions but did have slight discomfort towards the end.. a couple of those "zingers" but I didn't realize what would come later that evening. As the day went on, the sensitivity increased and wow did the "ZINGERS" set in. I was sent home with the in home maintenance tray so I used the gel that they said would decrease the sensitivity should I do the whitening at home. This did help but I had sensitivity for the next 2-3 days. I did have pretty good results, about 4 shades lighter. I'm afraid to do the in home maintenance if it hurts anything like the in office. Guess I'll try since I paid about 300.00 for it. Just be aware, you could potentially have jolting "zinger" pain afterwards to deal with.

my dentist gve me pain killers before i started the process. I saw a slight difference with the color which did not last for even a week. The pain was out of this world i couldnt open my mouth for the first 12hrs. NOT WORTH IT. I have white teeth but all i needed so a little spark. I will now try the gel at home.

I had ZOOM done this morning. Very pleased with the results. I have experienced the "zingers" and at times it is painful, but ibuprofen has kept the edge off. BUT I would tell anyone that this is NOT pain free. I brushed my teeth with toothpaste for sensitive teeth for couple of weeks beforehand. I had my teeth cleaned and polished before having them whitened. My teeth are very white and I would endure the discomfort again for the results. I paid only $50. I am thankful I did not have the bad experience I have read here.

I had the Zoom treatment done yesterday. I was initially excited about the procedure since I have never had my teeth whitened before. I'm 28, healthy, and in good shape. The prep work wasn't terrible and the first fifteen minutes were fine, though biting down on the appartaus they put in your mouth was uncomfortable. I felt some sensitivity and "zingers," as others have put it in my lower teeth during the second session (mostly towards the end). About half way through the third session I had to stop the treatment because my teeth were becoming too sensitive for the treatment. It felt like painful electrical currents were running through my teeth. For the rest of the afternoon my teeth were achy and sensitive. Every now and then I would feel a sharp zinger in my lower teeth which would like for 2-4 seconds. That night the zingers were replaced by a dull ache, which went away by morning. I noticed significant results and I'm happy overall. I was expecting to pay less since I didn't use all four treatments, but no discount was ever given. I would recommend the treatment, but would advise those with sensitve teeth to take 1-2 sessions only.

Bottom line-very effective--I saw noticeable results (as did others); be prepared for some uncomfortable side effects. A little pricy--paid $290--do not pay more--you're getting ripped off.

Beautiful results, but I'm in a lot of pain. The de-sensitizing agent my dentist gave me helped with my teeth being sensitive, but my gums hurt. It feels like it did when I had braces and the orthodontist would tighten them. Ibuprofen (Advil) isn't touching the pain, and it has been severe enough to keep me awake (at least the first night). It's not that they burned my gums or anything, I think they did a great job, but I'm really sore afterwards. They did not inform me of this potential side effect- just the sensitivity. Yes, I do get pangs of pain that come on suddenly (people called them "zings"), in addition to a general aching sensation. I didn't have any pain during the actual procedure. It was rather uncomfortable to have something in my mouth for such a long period of time. I would recommmend NiteWhite over this. I can't say that my teeth are any whiter with the laser than NiteWhite.

I agree with last review..didn't feel any pain during the treatment except the gumshield thing they put in to expose your teeth...plus a sore neck from staying still for 4 * 15min sessions, I know all people suffer pain in various ways, but seriously I think some people are over dramatising. I think leg waxing is way worse ! I read loads of reviews before from people going on about the pain and was worried, but was very pleasantly surpised.

Teeth are v white now, well worth any minor discomfort

I just got the Zoom Whitening done three hours ago. I don't understand how the women out there say it's worse than labor??? I had three sessions (that's all the Dr. would do) and the first two were completely fine. No pain what so ever. During the third I had one MAYBE two of these so called "zingers" which lasted for about 1.5 seconds. As of now I think I've had two more of the so called zingers and again, they last for no longer than a second or two. I have already been drinking water as well as a steamed piece of tilapia. Pertaining to the results, I had a GREAT dentist who did a deep clean and two weeks of whitening with the trays at home. This allowed me to get maximum results. That being said, my teeth were sooo yellow that I DID notice a drastic change in shade but by no means are they considered "pearly whites". Oh well. They look WAY better than before and that's good enough for me. I will probably have Zoom done again in a few months so that should tell you something about the so called pain. Completely worth it if the price is under $300 in my opinion.

I had my zoom done today... lucky for me i won it in a raffle... and now.... more then 12 hours later i'm still in the worst pain in my life!!! this procedure is such crap... i mean i could get the same results from hydrogen peroxide and brushing my teeth with special tooth paste. when people say it isn't worth it...it's not... i can't eat, talk, sleep, pain relievers don't help AT ALL and i can't believe how much i am salivating from this. Overall, I like the results (there are some uneven spots) but the pain isn't worth it. i have to go to my Dentist tomorrow to get something to help because these "zingers" are constant in my lower jaw.... and it SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its been 24 hrs since I had the Zoom procedure done & I'm sitting here with my trays in my mouth for 1 hr reading all these posts on Zoom Zingers. I must be lucky because I felt zero pain during procedure (3 x 15 min) & none later on either. The only complaint I have is I asked if it mattered when you have zoom done & they told me no. But after procedure I still noticed a little darker shade between teeth & the Zoom specialists said I should have had my teeth cleaned even though I had them cleaned 3 months ago. She said tarter does build up between teeth (I do floss) & the Zoom results are better if you recently had teeth cleaned. I should have researched before because they do recommend to have teeth cleaned a week before procedure.
I'm also amazed at how much everyone paid... my cost was $99 & that included Zoom in office procedure, trays, gel... everything. My Zoom specialist was very friendly & attentive (she worked on 2 patients at same time). I'm lucky because my teeth are whiter & I experienced no discomfort at all. They told me to use the gel & trays over next 7 days or longer if I want my teeth whiter. I will let you know if I feel any pain next week. Happy for now!

DO NOT GET THE ZOOM PROCEDURE. It hurt like hell and I don't have any dental issues. It hurt. It didn't work And it cost $400.00!!! I felt like smacking the dentist afterward. This fool held up a mirror so I could see the "difference". He was flinching like the teeth were so bright it was blinding him!! There was only a slight difference - my wallet felt lighter!

Ok so i had the "Zinger" proceedure done yesterday morning, yes that's rite they should rename the Zoom to the Zinger proceedure cuz thats what it is. I feel so stupid for not researching first but i was confident in my dentist and his staff. I asked specifically if there were any side affects or things i need to be concerned about before taking the proceedure and of course he smile n said no. I took home sensitivity tooth paste to use 2 weeks prior to proceedure. I was told they do up to 5 sessions of 15 mins. By the very end of the second session i felt the "zinger" in my lower teeth n signaled... she said we'll wait for the light to go off and i was like "wtf?! take this shit off of me" but of course, it was near the end so it was ok. I was not warned of the excruciating pain! But after paying so much for this proceedure i went on to my third session. She put some gel on to ease the pain in the areas i told her the shooting pain was coming frm before my 3rd session. I was sweating n my fist was clenched but i told myself i paid a wack load of money for this and i've been thru two natural births, i can do this. She reapplied gel in sensitive area n i went to my fourth session. As the proceedure progresses the pain becomes more unbearable but i have to say that she did all she could in between the proceedure to minimize the pain. I couldn't go on to the last 15 mins so i had 4 sessions in total. Well i took the day off after and went straight home as i notice the zingers were continuing and i was developing a twitch frm the horrific pain.
I am a person that never takes tylenol or advil. I took two rite when i got home. I would've taken more, in fact i would've swallowed the whole bottle had i felt it do anything to relieve my pain, but of course i suffered instead. Out of desperation, i went online to read the gazillion reviews on other ppl's pain and felt a bit relieved that i wasn't alone. The pain lasted all of the day and today is the day after and im so happy to report that I'm a lot better!!! I have take home trays which im suppose to use for 3 days. At the moment i have to intention of putting myself thru that kind of pain again so i'll just be greatful that im painfree and will reconsider the trays later.
Will i do it again? Over my dead body! NEVER! no one should have to go thru that kind of pain! Results? well they are whiter but not a bit worth the pain!
Good luck to all who's considering this.... it was like someone drilling into the nerves! I cringe at the thot of the pain!
