I had the zoom procedure done today and I am very happy with the results. I do feel the pain. It feels like I have electricity running throughout my teeth. Its about five hours after the procedure. I think that it is worth the pain because my teeth have never looked so white. I payed 270 and only had one half hour session.

All I have to say is run or "zoom" far from Zoom. I spent $550 just to be tortured. They should rename Zoom to RFUL "Run For Ur Life".

Tylenol or pain killers will not help you. Your teeth will feel like you've been chewing rocks and drinking bleach afterwards.

I should have read reviews before I wasted money. The funny thing about it is my teeth got really white but I end up spending more at the ER because of it. Totally not worth it!

I wish I would have read the reviews before having this torture done. I have had a teeth whitening procedure done before, and I have never endured such pain. It's the worst pain I have ever felt in my mouth. I have had braces and dental work done, but this pain is on another level. It really feels like your teeth are melting and you are being electrocuted. But .....I do like my results. I just don't know if it's worth the pain.

What a waste of money. My teeth were very yellow, I love my tea and coffee. I got whitening but not as good a tray system would have given me, and I'm planning on going that way next. I only got a couple of shades whiter. It looks a little uneven with white spots too.
I was told it would be $550.00 and would be three 15min sessions. It was fine for the first 15 then during the second one a major zinger, 5 min before the end of the second session. Then 5 min into the 3rd session it was extreme pain in my lower teeth. I no I was done. I was given 2 tylenol, not a lot of help as I write this my teeth hurt. feels like smoeone hiting you in the teeth with a hammer or a major electric shock! I was told I didn't have to worry about sensitivty. My dentist sells the whiting trays for an extra $400.00. I should have bought a whitening system online, In the past I used "bright smile" it works as well a a dentidt tray system. $100-200 would have been a much better deal.

I had the Zoom done on Monday afternoon. i was informed that there would be 4 sets of 15 mins and the cost was $495.00. As i am reading one i over paid, however, I think all things in NYC are probably a little more pricy.
No one told me about the pain it would cause.
The first session was fine nothing to worry about
The second session good for about the first 12 mins, then all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my bottom tooth on my right side. I thought maybe I was just sitting the wrong way and tried to move a little.
I figured, I have had my my share of surgery this should be nothing.
Then the third session started.. The pain was not pleasant at all.... I made it through the third round and when she asked if I was ok, I wrote on a piece of papaer, "if your teeth are supposed to feel like they are falling out of your mouth, then sure i am great" . Obviously with that being said, the sessions were over.
They responded and said, oh that happens... That happens!!! don't you think you should inform people of this.
My teeth are definitely whiter. However, i too like other people said, have non even teeth and some white spots.
I don't think it is worth $495.00...
Maybe in a few years they will come up with a better system.

I delivered my daughter without an epidural. All natural. I've always had a very high tolerance for pain. Zoom has been the most painful thing I've ever experienced, next to natural child birth. I had read up on Zoom so thought I was prepared for the "Zingers" and even took a vicodin (prescription pain medicine) 1 hour before the dentist turned the light on.

During the first 15 mins, I had sensitivity and burning, then towards the end of the first session the zingers started. OMG, they were this awful stabbing pain. I dealt with it. I told myself that if I could do natural child birth, that I could do zoom. I did all 3 sessions and don't even know how. The vicodin didn't even take the edge off. About 2 hours after the procedure, the pain got really bad. I was having a constant throbbing on my top teeth, while a constant pain on my bottom teeth. I was taking vicodin every 4 hours, anvil every 6 and still was in tears.

The pain was gone about 16 hours after the procedure but my mouth is still sensitive.

I cannot believe I paid someone to do this to me. The worst part is that my teeth are pretty white, but I was trying to get that "Hollywood" smile. Not happening with this crap treatment. My teeth barely changed, I have burns on the roof of my mouth, gums bleeding and sensitive. Not worth the $300.00 I paid!

I've achieved better results at home by brushing with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. My suggestion: use the crap they sell at Wal-Mart, it's the same ingredients.

I have been having Zoom whitening for the past 5 years. I usually have it done once a year but half the required time. My teeth are brilliant white and l will keep using this system. Ok, it does give you slight shoots of pain as the teeth become a bit sensitive, But it doesn't last for longer than a day. I can handle that. I usually have fluouride paste put on my teeth after the treatment. Try it as the shooting pain is very much less.

I scheduled an apt. to have the Zoom! procedure done in 4 days, yesterday. Then i researched it and found all these horrible comments about it and it really freaked me out and i started to change my mind. I noticed it was mostly females that were writing negative comments though (not being sexest) so i figured i would go talk to my dentist about it. Well i just got out of her office and she said she has never heard of any of her patients being in excruciating nor did she have anybody that was not able to finish all 3 or 4 sessions. I also asked to talk to someone in the office that had the procedure done. A lady in her late 40's came out the office and told me she had it done almost a year ago and she had 1-2 "zingers" over the next 10mins after it was done but that was it. She said it didn't stop her from her daily activities at all, and her teeth were very white. So i have decided to keep the apt to do it. I think that if you are reading this to figure out if you want to go threw with it or not, go back and talk to your dentist about it. Ask if they ever had anybody that couldn't finish and ask if anyone in that dental clinic has had the procedure. Find someone that has had it done by your same dentist. I think some people has had it done by someone that wasn't really qualified to do it.....anyway, i will re-post in 3 days, after the procedure to let you know how im feeling and the results

Discussed the procedure with both the dentist and the dental tech. Was impressed by the thoroughness of protection to my lips, cheeks and gums, which can be irritated by the lightening goop. The tech warned me of the zingers. Didn't get my first one until the end of the second treatment. If you have ever made the mistake of biting on aluminum foil on a filling, it feels kinda like that. Not pleasant, surely, but manageable.
My teeth (in my early 50s, coffee and red wine drinker) lightened up 7 shades--sounds like a lot, but they were not that bad and are now not that white, but definitely lighter and brighter. I fully expect to lose a shade in the next several days as I get off "white" food. That's OK with me.
The people who report intense pain may have had unknown dental issues, like loose or bad fillings. I have many fillings myself (improper tooth care as a child), but as an adult see a dentist twice a year for regular cleanings and get old fillings fixed up. Do your research and know your mouth.
My mouth hurt a bit the first night, but the following morning, no zingers and no pain. I also brushed on the first day several times with Sensedyne (sp?) toothpaste and warm water. That helped with the zingers. The worst part of the whole procedure to me was, toward the end, the smell of the goop started to get to me: it was a bit antiseptic-chemically smelling, but not that bad.
Bottom line: if your tooth are in overall good shape, your teeth have some age- or drink-related dinge, and if you are not a pain-phobe or overly sensitive to mouth pain, I say go for it.

Had this done a few days ago. The dentist did 3 sessions of 15 mins. The first to sessions were fine. Just some heat but not painful. The last session was ok but towards the end I felt one sharp painful "zinger". Then a few mins after the session the sensitivity really started to set it! I was like "ouch"! The doctor gave me something to help the pain. It only helped mildly. The procedure was actually done free by the dentist, so I'm not sure if any steps where skipped (e.g., should I had been given the gel automatically, and should I'd been given a kit to take home). Anyway, for the next 24 hours, the pain was almost UNBEARABLE! I literally laid in bed moaning for much of that time. I took sleeping pills because I wanted to sleep the pain away!. Oh, as for the results, not happy! My teeth are now very spotted with white calcium spots. Also, a few teeth are unevenly bleached. Very disappointed. There must be a better way!

Love my dentist, so it is not the dentist. I only lasted through 2 sessions this morning. Pain was so bad the doc gave shots to numb it. Also gave me a prescription for pain. I have given birth twice, and this pain is worse. I have never had so much as a toothache before this. Now I am sitting here drooling on myself from the shots and still in pain.

DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE! I had it done this morning - I made it thru 2 1/2 sessions. This pain is unbearable - they should really warn you more. My dentist warned that I could have some sensitivity, but nothing like this! This pain is just terrible. I really wish I had looked it up before I had it done!

I got a Groupon Coupon that cost $200 normal dentist cost is $400. My teeth were pretty white, but I did notice they were definitely whiter after the Zoom. During the third session I had a few zingers, nothing unbearable. Took a couple Advil right after and I've been fine all day. Maybe a zinger here and there. I would suggest drinking room temperature liquids same day though.
Definitely worth it and would recommend having Zoom done. Don't know what others are talking about with the unbearable pain, did not experience any of that.

Don't do this if you think youre getting the "hollywood smile". I went in one week ago with high hopes- (my teeth werent that bad to begin with) So I came out with pearly whites and here I am a week later and my teeth look like they did before and I don''t eat or drink ANYTHING that stains teeth to begin with. Very disapointed and out $400. Oh, did I mention it hurt... BADLY!?

I had zoom earlier today. My teeth look amazing and I have had no pain or discomfort at all. I would do it again in a heartbeat. People only tend to post on review sites when they have something negative to say so thought I would give you a different point of view. I love my new teeth. 15 shades lighter. I would recommend it to anyone provided you go to a cosmetic dentist. Don't try and do it on the cheap at a beauty salon.

I just had the Zoom procedure done this morning. My teeth look great -and my gums weren't affected at all. BUT my teeth hurt very badly now. Every few seconds I am getting horrible shooting pains through my teeth -and I usually tolerate pain very well. The procedure hurt a bit, but wasn't completely unbearable. I made it through all four sessions. But now, just a few hours later, these shooting pains are awful. The tylenol I took a few hours ago hasn't helped at all. ...so, all in all: my teeth look great, but this pain is just ridiculous!

DONT DO IT!!!!
i was fine with the pain during the procedure, a few zingers but nothing bad. i left with random teeth tingling, but it didn't really bother me. A couple hours later, intense PAIN. i cant eat, or even sleep. Advil, ibuprofen, nothing makes it any better. I had it done 7 hours ago, and regret it. NOT WORTH THE PAIN.

I feel like an idiot for not checking reviews first. My dentist warned me that there might be some sensitivity but I had trays done 15 years ago and they didn't bother me at all. Plus I used sensitivity toothpaste for 2 weeks beforehand that the dentist told me would cut my chances of sensitivity a lot. Plus, the brochure didn't mention any possible side effects worth noting. Well, I didn't make it all the way through 2 sessions before the pain became unbearable. (I have a high pain tolerance - 36 hour back labor, etc) My dentist said he never had anyone react as badly as I did. I had it done this morning and regret it 100%. I have a spot on one of my front teeth that didn't whiten and the whitening is uneven. My dentist had to prescribe a flouride ibruprofen as well as a narcotic pain killer, its that bad. I've had the mouth trays with calming gel on all day and I'm still experiencing near constant zingers. I haven't taken the narcotic yet but maybe at bedtime. I'm afraid to eat and am only drinking luke warm water through a straw to try and rehydrate my teeth. Huge mistake. I don't recommend it.

My dentist did the treatment in 4 sessions of 15 minutes. Only felt occasional light "shocks" towards the end of the second session. Session 3 & 4 produced a steady stream of light "zingers" which were mildly discomforting. Went up about 9 levels. They took great care in putting on the gum barrier, so I had no problem with the gums afterwards at all. 4 days later now, and seems to be the same shade. So far so good.

Yikes, I am only 16 and I was born with no enamel on my teeeth so my teeth are very very sensitive and have had over 50 cavities and 2 root canals. I'm just going to get the proffesional at home bleaching. :) yep, this site helped me a lot!!!

I can handle the drill and root canal. I don't think I would do it again because of these zingers. It's now about 3 hours later and they hurt badly enough that I actually looked it up online. I'm trying advil, that hasn't worked, so now I'm switching to beer.

I consider myself to have a really high pain tolerance. I had read the reviews and thought that everyone must be real wimps. However....I would strongly recommend that unless your teeth are extremely yellow and it greatly affects your confidence, DON'T do it. I had my Zoom procedure 24 hours ago and I am finally thinking the zingers are over for I haven't had one in a while. My teeth are slightly whiter but the frustration of the zingers and the sensitivity much out weighs the latter. The pain is real. If you are reading this for advice, please reconsider the procedure.

This procedure is seriously horrible. After the first 15 minute session the pain was unbearable. Seriously people, I mean horrible, the worst pain I've ever felt in my life, it makes you desperate, you just want to take the lamp away and cry.

I told my dentist the pain was really bad, so he said that was it and that he wasn't going for another session, thank god he's a very responsible man and warned me about the possibility of experiencing sensibility.

The pain lingered for about 2 days, is just horrible and I felt frustrated. The results were just ok, a bit whiter but nothing too dramatic.

My best advice to you all: Avoid the pain, is really suffering for nothing.

yeah as you can see below i left a comment regarding my teeth whitening about 3 days ago, just an update my teeth have near enough returned to the original colour! seriously what was all the pain and expense for!??? and i have not touched anything that could stain my teeth... i even refused to go out for a meal the other day as i have been really fussy over what i have been eating and drinking... i have followed the "white diet" to the letter!! and still teeth have stained again... the only explination i can think of is i read a review once saying the reason zoom makes teeth look so white after the procedure is cos it dehydrates them...and dehydrated teeth appear brighter.... then as soon as they rehydrate again they return to original colour?? well it bloody must be as i have been living off water and dry chicken for days!! also my gums blistered the night i had it done with the at home whitening gel... so i had to stop using that.... it kills me to brush them now and mu gums are constantly bleeding!! AND also... my teeth have gone patchy... i have a white line running through the middle of them! and random white speckles... i never had them before the procedure! just feel like it all wasnt worth it... never had any problems with my teeth and they were white enough t start with... silly me for thinking i could get the hollywood smile! it may well work on others but unless you are completely miserable with the colour of your teeth then just dont bother! i was happy with my smile just wanted it to look really white.... now i'm £300 down, have bleeding painfull gums, blotchy teeth and god knows what underlying damage i've done to them... i'm so complaining to the dentist surgery! and i honestly think that any reputable dentist just shouldt carry out zoom as it is so inconsstent with results!!!..... rant over!

I got a coupon from Groupon (best site ever!) the other day for Zoom. It's normally 500$ but I got it for 179$, I had pretty white teeth already so I wouldn't have paid any more for it. I think it was totally worth it. I did the consultation a week before, then the actual procedure took about and hour and so. I've never had cavities, freeezings, anything done before. I did it 3 days ago and I went through all three 15min sessions in a row and felt a litttle discomfort, mostly because I had to have my mouth open for that long. I read a review that it would severley burn your gums and lips but I think someone is exaggerating.....I got a little on my gums and it stung a bit and left them discoloured for aboout 30mins after but that was it. I did experience the zingers a bit during, and it was worse after for about 5hrs, I brushed with sesodyne and put this vitamin E oil on that she gave me and it was fine. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed 2 days after the Zoom and if you want to talk about extreme fucking pain then get all your teeth pulled. Zoom is nothing.

yeah it hurts... no pain no gain though right?? after all this is an OPTIONAL cosmetic procedure. my teeth have never been sensitive and 15 mins in the first session i had to rip off light as the shooting pain was so bad... think it also made it worse that i wasnt expecting it and as quick as it came it went.... i went to a very good cosmetic dentist surgery so he was very attentive and lowered the bleach gel on my lower teeth to 14% as this was where it was really hurting... managed to get thru all 3 sessions just had to deep breathe through it an try an bear the pain... my teeth are whiter... not as much as i thought though... but to be fair the receptionist in dentist asked why i was getting it done as my teeth where white anyway! the dentist gave me extra stuff to take home aswell so i expect them to go a little whiter... my husband says they look great though! my advice if u are scared of pain dont get it... if u really want white teeth that bad pop a few painkillers before session and try to stay calm and breathe through pain! the hard part now is tryin to stay off red wine tonight!! ;op

I went to get this done and I hadn't read too much online because I didn't want to get freaked out. People are worrying too much because only the peoiploe with HORRIFIC experiences post. I got a few zingers, I had to stop halfway through the third session, but I have extremely sensitive teeth. I only got up 3 shades, but my teeth are not in unbearable pain. I took an Advil. I will now go to school and be just fine. DON'T LET THIS SITE FREAK YOU OUT. You should do it.

Had this done yesterday, now for me it may be a little different as I have always abused my teeth and I am very use to tooth pain, many many fillings and root canals countless amount of tooth ache i mean twice a year for probably 20 years.

Dentist said My enamel is very thin and it may hurt so i dont think she expected me to last long, but i countered this by using sensodyne the month previous to the treatmen. I set a record in the dentist for amount of time lasting the procedure, it is not exactly pain free but the zings aren't too bad the worst bit i had is the burning feeling during the first 5 minutes and the jaw ache from the contraption.

For me though i would do it again tommrow no hesitation if i thought my teeth would go whiter still i went from a8 to a2 so i am happy and by god it certainly is worth the pain. Now after one night the zings have stopped only really had one really bad one, i just have a little bit of sore gums. I have in house bleeching trays too so wil keep these but i say go for it, for me the longer the session went on within the 20 minute seesions the pain eased.

I have always had VERY sensitive teeth and gums and so was anxious about trying Zoom after all the reviews I have read about pain. However, I did not experience ANY pain or discomfort during or after the Zoom treatment. The result was only a couple of shades brighter. I got a great price of $125 through Groupon.com. The results certainly would not be worth paying full price.

I had Zoom! done at 8:30 this morning & it's now 7:30. Not bad. A few zingers here & there but I came up 8 shades! I haven't used the relief gel I may try it if the pain does get worse. A little sensitive around the outline of my teeth but only if air hits them just right. Like I said not bad but I had googled this procedure & watched it on YouTube so I knew what to expect.

I do not have sensitive teeth, never had tooth pain (except when I had an impacted wisdom.) I asked the my dentist if it hurts and she said your teeth might get a little sensetive but it doesnt hurt. I had to ask her to stop after 10 minutes. I told her I didnt want to continue. She assured me the pain will go away and tried to continue but it got worse. I'm not at home and getting 'zingers.' I'm meant to go back next week to finish the treatment but if this is what happens after only 10 mins. There is no way I'm going back for another 30.

I'm stupid too because before they started they put the teeth whitness scale up to my teeth and they where already the lightest shade on there. I am so annoyed I wasted $400. If I had found these reviews before having it done I would of canceled my appointment. The only way you're gonna get a super white Hollywood smile is if you get vaneers. Only way. Zoom hurts too much and isn't worth it. Never again.

Don't do it! Don't do it! The pain is horribly excruciating.

What is a zinger? Let me tell you...put an ice pick up to your tooth and slam it with a hammer really hard. No pain one second and then Bammmm it shoots through your tooth. Seems each tooth takes turns. The first one was in the dentist chair, at the end of round 3. It was such a shock I almost flew out of the chair.

I've had children and it is comparable to your worst contractions

This was the worst mistake ever. I would NOT recommend the Zoom whitening. 12 hrs later and I am still having excruciating pain-"zingers" and total teeth sensitivity. This is truly the absolute most pain I've ever been in. I've taken 1200 mg of ibuprofen and a loratab to absolutely no avail.

The first I heard of "the zinger" was when I was getting the whitening done and I had this shooting pain that was absolutely unbearable. I believe that the dentist office and his staff have the responsibility to convey all of the side effects of this procedures. I did my research before doing this, brushed wtih sensitive toothpaste for the past month and asked all the right questions. NOT ONCE was there mention of anything called a "zinger" by the hygienist until it happened. My mouth hurts so much, I can't even smile so I'm not even sure if this procedure even whitened my teeth or not.

Now it's 15 hrs later and the zingers seem to have stopped, but the throbbing overal pain is still present. We put 2 calls in to the dentist office last night and did not receive a call back. How about that for customer service? What do they care, they already have my money.

Expensive. I was willing to pay for results, but I think my teeth may have been one shade lighter at best. I now have friends telling me that I should think of getting my teeth whitening ... that's how ineffective it was.

What a waste of money and time! Had the Zoom procedure done 4 days ago and was told my teeth are 8 shades whiter - I personally cannot see any difference. I had better results using gel whitening kits. Absolutely rubbish!

I had the Zoom treatment 2 weeks ago and went in for my follow up visit today. My teeth are 4 shades whiter after only 2 sessions. I couldn't take the third session due to the sensitivity. I had only one "zinger" and used the gel the rest of the day of the procedure. I took a pain pill when I went to bed later that night and woke up the next day feeling great. I'm going to try the touch-up gel tonight. I would recommend the procedure at a professional dentist's office.

Never have I experienced so much pain in the dentist office as I did from the Zoom treatment, and I have had a lot of dental work done! I had no idea it was going to be painful. When I began to tell people about it, so many others said is was very painful for them too!

I had zoom this afternoon, & the result is not a big difference. My teeth have gone a little whiter but I can see patches of yellow in my front teeth. I did get a couple of zingers. Now feel some sensitivity which is that bad so far. You probably get same whiteness from a dentist bleching them or using whitining products. Those people u see with sheet white teeth are misleading, as they are mostly veneers & which whiten up extremley. Save your money & headache forget zoom

I just had the Zoom! whitening done yesterday. My teeth are 12 shades whiter, but the dentist said there will be some regression, so I expect to go back a few shades. So, it works, but...

IT HURTS!!! I am usually very good with pain. I've been through a 36-hour labor and two c-sections, and I would say that the Zoom! procedure ranked as the second-most pain I have ever been in.

For the first two sessions, I was fine. My lips were burning a little, but the hygienist put more protection on and that took care of it. Toward the end of the third session, I started to feel the "zingers." They used the relief gel on me for about 15 minutes between the third and 4th session. During that time, I was getting INTENSE "zingers," and finally the relief gel calmed them down. I gutted throught the fourth session, and maybe because of the relief gel it wasn't quite as bad, BUT immediately after I was done, I had to use more relief gel, and the dentist gave me some Advil.

Throughout the rest of the day and evening, I was in a great deal of pain. I was even in tears. Taking Advil every 4 hours took the edge off but it was still pretty bad.

Then, suddenly at about 10-12 hours after the procedure, the pain started to subside. That was just before I went to bed. This morning I awoke feeling fine.

In short, even though my teeth are a lot whiter, it was NOT worth the pain. If you are sensitive to Crest White Strips, you will most likely HURT during Zoom!

I will NEVER do this again, and I would NOT recommend it to anyone. Other whitening procedures may not be as effective, but they most likely are not as painful either!

I've wanted teeth whitening with a light for years. I thought it would be easier than trays, and less painful, which I have had and was too sensitive for. Well, I'm extremely disappointed. I cant tell any difference in shade, my teeth were pretty good to start with but I thought since I had good teeth, it would bump me a few shades to great. Nope. My hygienist didn't tell me what to do about saliva and spitting so I choked at first and spit it all out. Anyway, long story short. Too expensive, very disruptive to your day and probably half a week, and doesn't produce the results at least for me. My teeth are probably more sensitive, but I stuck through the whole procedure. Did not receive any desensitizing anything. I was told the pain would be gone by bedtime. Well not yet, isn't even tapering off. My lips are totally dried out from this in one procedure, and I drink lots of water. Total waste of time and money. Might as well get a home procedure or crest white strips.

Just underwent this yesterday. The dentist puts a retainer in your mouth to keep it open and then applies gel and then shines the light on your mouth for 15 minutes. She reapplies the gel and then lights again, and then again one last time.

I felt some sensitivity during the third time but it was okay. For the next several hours I had bursts of pain but I didn't cry about it. The dentist can also give you flouride to put on your teeth if it hurts.

I got lucky and found Zoom! at an office that was having a sale so I only paid $299. My teeth are whither but I believe they were a lot whither right after the treatment so it might be fading.

I wouldn't do it again.

DO NOT DO IT! NOT WORTH THE PAIN!

I just had the zoom done 4 hours ago and I am very dissapointed. I was told that the stains on my teeth would go away and they would all be the same shade. LIE! My teeth look worse than before and I regret getting this procedure done.

The pain is the worst part of all. I experienced the zingers in my 3 stage of the whitening. It was very intense and uncomfortable. I had to grab my mouth in agony. I cried through out the rest of stage 3 and I didn't even make it to stage 4. This is not worth the money or the pain. I did not experience any of the burning of the gums or tongue but the constant and zinging pain in the teeth is enough for me. I had no idea this procedure was going to hurt like this. I wish I would have read this website before going through with it.

Now I am scared to see how the next 48 hours will go becuase by other postings, the pain only seems to get worse. GREAT!

DO NOT DO THIS!!! IT IS HORRIBLE PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Had this treatment yesterday, Did have some pain during procedure but not untill the end of the treatment and I did have some pain afterwards. What you need to remember is that this is cosmetic dentistry and you have a choice as with any cosmetic procedures it is painfull but worth it. I did not have any problems with burning as I used a professional dentist and I paid alot more than some people who have left comments, basically you get what you pay for. My teeth look great and so much whiter than before I am really pleased with the results.

If you have healthy teeth, few to no cavities/fillings, and aren't a wimp...Zoom! is the right choice. I got the Zoom! whitening on the same day I was told about it. That means no desensitizing toothpaste, I had two miniscule cavities (discovered 6 months prior (did not need filling yet)) during the procedure. The process was very bearable with some sort of distraction (a tv in the office). I felt the "zingers" after but they could be combated simply by drinking some cold water and letting it sit in my mouth for a few seconds. I was very happy with the process and did not require the desensitizing gel after the first application directly after the process. I would recommend it to anyone who wants white teeth and can deal with a little pain for a few hours.

If you can't deal with the pain from Zoom! then you have bigger issues to worry about than having whiter teeth.
