Lumibrite Take Home Whitening is the latest in a series of professional whitening products from Denmat, Inc. Denmat was the company behind Rembrandt Toothpaste (until the brand and it’s formulas were sold in 2003) and continues to be a leader in the whitening field - as it has been for over 20 years. The LumiBrite brand features three products in total: a bleach-free whitening system, a chairside whitening procedure and a take-home whitening kit with custom mouth trays.
The Lumibrite Take-Home Whitening Kit is a way to approximate the results of professional in-office whitening at a much lower cost. The Lumibrite Take-Home Whitening Kit is prescribed by your dentist and features hydrogen peroxide solutions in one of three strengths (16%, 22% & 32%) and comes with custom-molded mouth trays that your dentist will prepare for you. You can expect results in excess of 7+ shades if you are a good whitening candidate and follow the instructions.
First, your dentist and his assistant will take a casting of your mouth and have a custom mouth tray developed to fit your exact specifications. This is a very important step - because secure contact between the whitening gel and your teeth is added insurance that the bleaching will be effective.
Next, depending on your overall oral health and any sensitivity issues you may have, your dentist will prescribe one of the three hydrogen bleaching gels to suit your needs and minimize any sensitivity issues. How long do you wear the custom-made mouth trays? For 32% formulation, the recommended bleaching regimen is 1 treatment per day for 3 minutes for 14 days, or until desired results are achieved. For 22% and 16% formulations, the recommended bleaching regimen is 1–2 treatments per day for 1–2 hours for 14 days, or until desired results are achieved. Your dentist may require an intermediary visit after a week to check progress.
This process doesn’t require much follow-up on the patient’s part - other than remembering to practice good dental hygiene. Keeping on top of surface stains will help prolong your new smile - and your dentist can also provide you with additional whitening gel syringes should you need a touch-up from time to time.
Yes. It’s our favorite method of teeth whitening here at teethwhiteningreviews.com. You get all the benefits of professional whitening for a much lower cost - yet your dentist is involved enough to prescribe appropriate products and check on your progress if necessary. Lumibrite comes from a great product family with an excellent reputation and extensive clinical testing behind its formulas. Give it a shot. This has been my first experience with teeth whitening. I am pleased with the results. I did have the in office procedure done with the light treatment. The results were great. I had no discomfort during the in office treatment, however, that evening and for the next couple days my teeth were very sensative. But over all I am pleased.

Lumibrite worked quick and well but l find the shading to fade away faster than the NiteWhite products...fast as in in about half a year of course, Nitewhite is still a favourite for me...but l am not sensitive at all to the whitening products, thought l should let u all know :)

I have used several bleaching products, including Crest White Strips and Platinum Whites. This Lumibrite kit did get my teeth whiter than the Crest Strips but took longer than the Platinum Whites kit. I did not have sensitivity problems with Platinum Whites or Crest White Strips but my teeth got very sensitive with this Lumibrite kit.

The 32% solution is the best whitening product I have ever used! I have used many different whitening products in my trays as well as OTC whitening agents, and Lumi Bright is fast and gentle, and it is thick so it does not ooze out of the trays (unless you use way too much). I use it for about 30 minutes-1 hour every other day about 3 times - twice a year, and that is all I need. If you have never bleached before, you would probably need more treatments.
