Another company that sells the Alta White tooth whitening is Healthbuy.com. They charged me without my authorization, $130 a one time fee.. I tried to get my money back but they extremely rude and refused to cooperate with me. whenever I call customer service, they seem to be all trained to be rude and nasty so they don't give you a chance to resolve the problem.
FTC, please go after all those thieves and scammers and get us our money back.

EDMONTON -- The United States Federal Trade Commission has filed a complaint against an Alberta-based online business for allegedly defrauding customers of hundreds of millions of dollars.
The action against Jesse Willms, who has an office in Edmonton, and 10 companies he controls was filed May 16, 2011.
It seeks to stop the alleged illegal practices and force the defendants to repay customers.
The U.S. agency, which deals with consumer protection and harmful anti-competitive business practices, claims over $450 million was gained through fraudulent means. The allegations have not been proven in court.
The alleged fraud involved luring customers with free or risk-free offers of products, such as acai berry weight-loss pills and teeth whitener, as well as free credit reports, access to government grants and a work-at-home scheme, said FTC spokesman Frank Dorman.

ALTA WHITE ; This website and product is a scam to get you to register for a permanent contract, it has lots of information about how your teeth stain and how much proffesional products and treatments are to buy, but has no imformation about what you are signing up for or paying for! You will think you are paying £2.99 for one trial item, but you actually are giving your bank details away for them to take money each 30 days. there is no way of refunding your money and you have to phone america to cancel an order! do not get scammed like me!

I'm glad I read the reviews first. I've learned that if it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is. Please everyone listen to that gut feeling that says something doesn't seem right and check it out before loosing your money.
Take care all,
Sandy
When submitting this comment when you have to rate the product I so wish there were a zero rating or not at all.

I was scammed a year ago by, oh I forget the name smile, a teeth whitening company.
I did find this while searching on the internet last month and wanted to see if it was for real and it is. So I decided to post it on every board that is about people being scammed by teeth whitening companies.
Apparently, the owner of this company was scammed years ago and decided to start a company doing things the right way. When I called their customer service number I was speaking to American people, “Wow what a change”. They described their program the following way.
They not only sell product on Amazon, in salons and though their website, they are also allowing anyone who was scammed by a teeth whitening company the opportunity to order refill kits from them as if they were originally customers of theirs. He said that they make a dollar or so for each refill kit sold and the owner wanted to give back to any one that was scammed. They are selling refill kits for $10 each. The link to their offer page is here.

I order last month, the gel pack arrived 5 days later, and there was no surprises. They did not bill me for additional product, etc… I think this is a great thing they are doing to help everyone else…

Argh!! I wish I had search about Alta White public ratings, before purchasing the product. :-(
Unfortunately, they have already charged me $98.00 CDN, so canceling the order was too late for me. The credit card can only suggest to cancel my credit card to avoid a lifetime fee, and so I did.
Thanks all for the feedback!

These SOBs stole $85 from my account. I had to inconveniently call my bank to cancel my card to avoid further charges. Called their number that was listed but to my SURPRISE, the phone number was not valid! They will burn in HELL! Don't waste your time and hard earned cash on these BASTARDS!

Just for anyone who is interested, the comments concerning people getting paid to write reviews for this product are true. An acquaintance of mine was recently paid to do work for this company and part of the project was to write a review proclaiming how well it worked for them when they have not even tried it. Please use caution when ordering this product.

I got sucked into this scam. Placed the order, then saw all the scam articles so I immediately tried to cancel. None of the phone numbers go anywhere - just a recording that tells you to go online. When you try to cancel online, it does not stop the monthly deliveries. Soooooo frustrating! It arrived 2 weeks after I ordered it - I guess so most people work cancel in time. I had called my credit card company for help within 24 hours of placing the order, they said they can hold payment for Idolhealth, but if they bill under a different name it could still hit my card. Cant believe I got caught in a scam like this! Billing all that $ for a product that doesnt work!

I have tried this product and it is definitely a scam. I called the company immediately after I had understood about the fraud. However, I recently tried another product, called Idol White and it really works great. I am 100% satisfied about it - it is just a teeth whitening pen, really convenient and extremely effective considering its size. Try here now -

It's a really scam, the charge you without a membership even if you don't confirm electronic with your visa. Visa also is guilty by this because the let them do their scam bussines.
You are warned, do fall for this and don't agree with you credit company Visa if they charge you without that you confirm electronic the payment.
Visa don't mind even if you complain and that you are right.
They think that we cannot do anything.
Proof that they are wrong and cancel you Visa membership.

Incredible, the Altawhite scammers even post fake reviews here. Don't believe them. It pure fraud. The tried to charge me twice. First for about$120, then for about $50 (first transaction declined because of insufficient funds). The $50 transaction was made 2 days before expiry date of the card.
I reported them to VISA and other authorities. Everybody should do this. It's the only way to stop them.!

This is an unfair operation. It was not made clear at the time of sample purchase that they would then charge a lifetime membership fee for $120 US (converted to $130 Canadian). To avoid irritable clients they should give them fair warning. I will not further support this company and their operation just for this reason!! Beware Nutralogy!

I was initialy charged over $10 extra for shipping costs. I agreed to pay one amount and when I confrimed the next screen showed I was being billed more. I let that go. Then 14 days later I noticed a charge for $119 and change. I called and spoke to them. They said when I agreed to the free trial I also agreed to a lifetime membership if I didn't cancel withen 14 days from my acceptance. She gave me NO option to cancel my membership stating that was not possible after the 14 day trial period.
The product does not work. Now I am worried that I will be seeing other charges as well. COMPLETE SCAM!!!!

I actually found this stuff to be quite good. Clearly the majority of people have found it to be otherwise. I had the free trial (took a week to get to me) and cancelled it as soon as I received it, with no problems. Didnt send it back and was only charged for the post. I found this site because I wanted to order more but thought I would check it out a little more before submitting to a ife time supply. I am glad I did. I wont be signing up with them. So thank you all for your sharing your experiences. Furthermore, I have found this site that others may find useful. http://www.bbb.org/edmonton/business-reviews/health-and-medical-products-scientifically-unproven/1021018-alberta-ltd-in-sherwood-park-ab-153474. Not only does it discredit Alta White, but all of its subsiduaries and other companies associated with it. You can also look up other companies to see if they are legit. Hope this helps.

I suggest many of you try reading the terms and conditions before buying anything. This is not a scam and actually works, I have had results. It states at the bottom of the order page what is involved in the sign up. I have canceled my subscription for now as I am happy with my results. I have had no issues. Try using the product as directed.
Read the fine print before purchasing anything.

Holy cow...I went to cancel my trial offer on the 14th day after ordering and I still get hit with a 119.93 "lifetime" charge. The 14 day trial offer is an "implied" period for one to "try" the product and not a 14 day period for you to loose track of time for an automated withdrawal to hit your account. I did not receive the product for 3 days after ordering so, if nothing else the "trial period" can be construed as a fraud. Although the ordering clerks were kind as they expressed their regret that I was bamboozled, they could do nothing for me. They gave me a (818) 303 9253 number that no one will answer to dispute my issue. Talk about inconsistency, the partner offer for "stay whites" was ordered at the same time and their 14 day trial period does not end until Dec 30th. Thanks. I just wish I would have done better homework before I ordered the "free" trial offers. I failed to remember...if it is too good to be true, it probably isn't (good or true). BUYERS BEWARE!!!

I placed an order for a free trial of TWO tooth whitening productS from a company called ALTA WHITE & some other one. The deal was - you have to get two different free trials from different companies, just cover shipping (about 2$). well, two weeks later, on dec 8th charge came in for 119.93$ (1207 PROVILLUS 8007564120 818-303-2600 CA 24707809341714337760635). another week later I have found an additional charge of $86.93US levied by a company called Sup*Smilebright (1221 SUP*SMILEBRIGHT 877-5947850 OH 2433239935700001229296). and yesterday another charge for 48.23$ (SUP*WHITETEETH 0018669893774 OH). Looks like its a scam and all the companies connected! I was not advised of this companies existence, let alone authorising any payment. Obviously a scam and taking advantage of people who can least afford it. Beware, I didn't think that the credit card companies could approve a payment without the cardholders permission. Apparently they can. and this is another site which promotes this crap : www.bestlifeshop.com

I too have been well and truly duped - along with many others it seems......
I received a tooth whitening kit from Alta White - but have been stung by some company who is theiving money from my bank account. They have taken various amounts from my bank account over the last 3 weeks - in various transactions in the names of ultifreshwell - nutralogy - beutyclub and vibrantbeauty. Totalling over £176. Money I can't afford to loose.
My bank has sent me form to fill in - asking me to contact these companies and formally cancel my contract with them - however I can't find a telephone number or an address for any of them - just complaints in the same vein as my own.... Any one know where to contact them ?? email - phone number etc??
This company is fraudulently stealing from us - please help stop them doing so.....

What a joke, to date I have been charged £250. I cancelled the product well within the 14days. Didn't send it back as I wasn't aware. And why the hell did they want it back? I'm hoping they didn't send me out a recycled product. My bank appear to be as useless as the company. Thats all my christmas money gone and I've called the company numerous times and they have said that there should only be one transaction of $40 going out, so I said I've been charged £250 and the girl said "Sir, that is the equivalent to $40 dollars. Either the exhange rate has gone to pot or they are totally taking the p***.

I too have been caught out in this scam. I've only been in receipt of the Alta White for six days and already £79.95 plus the cost of postage etc., have gone from my account. To make matters worse, when I placed my order, their system ostensibly would not accept my debit card nor my other credit card. It then acceptd the third card that I tried? I have today discovered that I have been billed twice, once on each card. Yet another nice little twist to the fiddle. I am not yet sure of what steps to take, but do not intend to accept the situation. I did manage to speak to some little girl in their American office but I may as well have talked to the cat!
My advice to any prospective customer----LEAVE WELL ALONE.

This company needs to be shut down and removed from the web and the only way that might happen is if enough people get together to do it.
As one of those caught by them I am trying to get as many others who have also been stung to contact me. If we get enough we may be able to convince a law firm to issue a class action suite against them. I'm disabled and cannot afford to pay for solicitors but if enough of us get together we may be able to get one who will do it on a no win no fee basis.
So if you have been caught please get in touch - [email protected]
I look forward to hearing from all of you- I know there are thousands of you out there.

I am applying to my bank to have the debit reversed..

It does not work. Their conditions are illegal. And you are busted when ordering the free trial. They will charge you anyway, even if you cancel the trial on time. By the way, according to law, it's not necessary to return a free "trial" to cancel this trial.
Do not fall for this, people!!!!!!!

Just been on to Co-Op Visa who stated that I have to write to company and cancel also send info to Visa Disputes Dept in Skelmersdale and they will try to get money back for me. This so-called company helped themselves to £82.43 WITHOUT my permission. I have paid my card today to avoid interest charges. The VISA employee said I was one of HUNDREDS scammed. Also watch out for wrinkle cream and health products. It will take time to get money back but VISA will pursue matters on your behalf as long as you write to the company 'Nutralogy' explaining you have cancelled the 'contract'. She also said not to cancel the card as charges would still be debited to any new card I am issued with!!!!

Guys You have the right for upto 180 days if you feel you have been fraudulently charged or are unhappy with the product this is law and if anyone says any different then they are breaking the law themselves, this works for only Visa debit or credit card so dont let some stupid card controllor lie and blag you remember they are there to minimise costs to themselves and the merchant, they will blag away and make you feel stupid like its your fault and plead deniability dont let them threaten them with lawyers or close the account they wont like either, then might start to be helpful, first things first though cancel you card and get a new one this will stop any extra charges so the COn artists can sign you up and up too as many products as they like all they'll get is invalid invalid invalid, just make sure the bank closes the active card because they generally dont stop the old card for thirty days after unless it was stolen!!!! just a tip found out today at the bank. if you need proof of chargeback which the consumer magazine has nice section about it on this link http://www.which.co.uk/advice/your-rights-when-paying-by-credit-card/chargeback-on-credit-and-visa-debit-cards/index.jsp

What I just found out was this company and it's partner company also automatically sign you up to other products! I have been signed up to a world club fitness and a diet plan. Both will take further money from your account. These are another £80 each so they will take at least £340 per month from you account! AVOID!!!!

I have just noticed an £80+ payment being debited from my account from this company. I was convinced by the reviews that had been left on a Consumer Review website detailed on MSN! I am so frustrated that I have been scammed by this company. I have NOT contacted the company as of yet (only noticed debit today) and don't feel confident in getting a hold of them after reading the reviews. However, I have cancelled my debit card with my bank and was advised to contact them if I have no luck with the actual company. I would be interested to hear if the company will cancel the subscription if you are outwith the 14 days. I DO NOT want to receive more of the products as decided NOT to even use the free trial.

And yes that is what it is, also I was told that if I decide to stay with them they will refund me half of the price. So in my opinion $45 and next $10 for next order is worth it. It really works I used it 4 times and my teeth looks great already ! :) Plus you can make some money on it... u can sell it to other people who do not want to subscribe...
