The Movie Star Look whitening system is a scam. You will see this product advertised on the internet through fake testimonials posted on blogs, forums and bogus review sites. While the product may certainly be better than the scam brush-on whiteners, the company uses far too many illicit marketing tactics. Their website will try to lure you in with their free sample offer - you will actually be signing up for a month-to-month supply that will be billed at $79.95 per month. This product is also marketed as "Movie Star Teeth Whitening."

There's a sucker born every minute.....and I was one of them! I ordered 3 sample whitening kits from several of the companies listed on this website. The ones I ordered from were all scams.
I tried to call one of them to cancel my "membership" and was on hold off & on for around 15 minutes. I finally called my credit card company and had them change my account number. This is the easiest way to handle the fact I gave this information to 3 scam operations!
My thanks to the folks that run this website.

I did recieve my trail sample in only a few days after I got my shipment notification via e-mail (confirmation sent on 2/24, recieved today, 2/27), but after reading all of this, I tried calling to cancel, but the number they provide you with is a fake number. I didn't even wait for more than 10 minutes while they had me on "hold". I then sent them 2 e-mails, one stating I would like to cancel, the second (after no response to the first) saying I would report them if any more charges appeared on my card from their "company". I recieved an e-mail about an hour later saying my membership was cancelled. I guess with these guys you just have to use force and don't give up! I should have done my research before trying any of these "free samples", but luckily I was able to get out of it before they hit me with any other charges.
For anyone interested, this is the address the package (thrown together in a little mailer envelope) came from:
Curb Your Cravings
500 Bic Drive, Bldg 4
Milford, CT 06461
Phone number: 866-468-3300
I have no idea if this is a valid address, but if it helps any of you, it's here. I hope you all can get out of anything you may be stuck in and for those of you thinking about trying it, DON'T!! I got lucky, but that doesn't mean you will!

Teeth looked a ''little" whiter immediately after use but returned to usual color within 20-30 minutes...Should be taken off net.
FYI.
CURBYOURCRAVINGS...another Moiestarlook -product...probably another scam. Samples really worked. So you agree to continue. However, subsequent patches have no potency. I tried 2, then 3, patches at a time...and nothing. Nothing in them at all like the 'free' samples.
ANOTHER SCAM

Well it took almost a month for me to receive my product. Then in less than 14days a week to be exact. They charged me 79.95 plus tax and the free trial was not even over or due. So yes it is a scam. I've used the product for one week and have not seen any results as of yet. But am out of almost a 100.00. I was on hold with the alleged company for 15 minutes then they conventiently closed and disconnected me. I've sent an email and have received no response yet.

I just sent the following email to [email protected] I was unable to reach them by phone -- continuously busy and no voice mail. I have not tried the product as yet as I only received it today. My trial subscription is up on Monday. It was shipped per their paperwork on 2/9 although it was mailed USPS First Class Mail. Clearly, it was not mailed on 2/9. Even the USPS is not that slow! At this point, I will give it a fair shake and provide an update. In order to submit this review, I must rate the product. I will amend it once I have been able to fully evaluate the product.
"Hello,
I received the subject order today, February 20, 2009, via USPS. I ordered this product under the Terms and Conditions of a free trial program and was billed $2.95 on February 6th. According to your T&C's, you will automatically bill and ship a 90 day supply 14 days from the date the trial order was shipped. Given my paperwork shows a ship date of 2/9/09, you will automatically charge and ship a product I will not have time to evaluate. This coming Monday, February 23, will be the end of the trial period.
Given the parameters of your T&C's, please cancel membership immediately. I will try your product and if it performs well, I will contact you by phone for additional product.
Please note that I have canceled further membership. Do not charge my credit card or ship the product. I tried reaching your customer service by phone. There was no answer and no way to leave a message.
Thank you."

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! They just robbed me out of $100.00. It took forever to ship after I ordered, so I had no idea that they actually were only giving me a few days to use my trial before they charged me for a 3 month supply. Not to mention that the terms and conditions I printed out when I ordered said I would only be charged $70 something for a 2 month supply. So now they are switching my terms on me!! They say it is too late to stop my order from shipping out, so now I have to wait for them to send the crap again (which takes forever!) And she had the nerve to tell me I only had until 3/20 to have it in their warehouse for my refund to be given back. AGH! The nerve of these crooks! Do not order!

It took over 9 days to get the free trail and it didn't even work! When I called the number provided it was always busy! This is a scam and a joke! I had to cancel my credit card because I couldn't get the trial canceled. Should have known better!

It's not a scam... it's a standard marketing ploy used by quite a few companies. Free trials tied to recurring membership fees if you don't cancel the order.
Thing is this company, and Nutra Brite are both offering this type of deal, and if you don't care to pay less than $10 to get both whiteners I think that maybe they both could do some good.
Do what I did... sign up for the free trials, and after I got confirmation I canceled. It doesn't say anything about having to continue the membership to get the free trials.

I'm not saying that either product works amazingly well, but I'm gonna give two trial samples a try for less than $10... :P
